Ordered 2 Efest 20700 3000mAh 30A Batterys a couple of weeks ago from IMRbatteries.com Put them in my new Wismec Reule rx2 20700 box. Using on power mode at 35watts. One battery is dropping like a rock. Well not quite. It didn't take the same charge as the other. Charge all my batteries in a 4 port Boruit c4. Charges my 18650 cells fine. The RX 2 uses the 18650 cells (they included sleeves for size adjustment) pretty evenly. But one of the 20700 batts just won't quite take the same charge. Question IMR won't take them back as stated on their web site so should I just keep charging them both and then recharge after the weak one reaches mid or 1/3 down or just spin the dice and buy both new again. Some where else.
Or look for a single 20700 box and use them ? What do Ya'll think?

No I just read their policy. Maybe I can find a phone number. They also stated returns would need original packaging. I don't have that. Unwrapped and tossed. Being new to this I guess I am learning the hard way. Would sure like to make use of the money I spent on them. Being retired I can't throw money at a company that states
All sales are FINAL. We do not offer refunds or exchanges for any product regardless of whether it has been used or not. Please choose carefully. If you have any questions about the products we sell, please contact us before purchase. I have to find another company to deal with. Maybe they are too big to handle the mess with the small guy. My fault I should have read their return policy.

Yeah, but you're not asking for a refund or exchange. You receiveda defective product. I would email them. Can't hurt to ask.
I'd be willing to bet that if this request is made within a 'reasonable' time of you receiving the batteries, that they will take care of you. It is a defective product after all, not your fault.

IMRBatteries seems like a pretty stand up place to me. My last 3-4 battery orders have been with them. Fast shipping and great prices.

I would ask too. You may not get anywhere, but you could ask. Although the "original packing" thing might be a bit tricky.

I dealt with another company with "policies" quite similar and I now carefully read all TOS before buying. I did not get my money back, but I also no longer use that vendor, ever, for anything. That was my "solution" and I'm glad I learned the lesson "early" as it were.

Lesson learned, lets just hope we can remember the lesson.

I knew nothing of that charger, so I looked it up. I see where it will charge 18650 and 26650 li-ion batteries, but saw no mention of 20700 batteries. I wouldn't think it should matter, but maybe it does.

Being an Efest, I wouldn't be surprised that they would sell a defective battery (especially since one battery didn't take the same charge as the other), but I'm not sure if IMR Batteries feels the same. Typically, this company (IMRBatteries) is known as a reputable battery reseller. I would contact them, supplying the purchase date if possible, and describe what you have told us, in particular that the one battery never accepts a full charge.

The Wismec REULEAUX RX battery devices are not known to be battery efficient devices. I have the RX200 and am very disappointed in its battery management, especially when compared to my DNA mod. Just another factor to consider.

Sorry for the bother, but another question please. Do you think the amazon.com/Boruit-Universal-battery-Rechargeable-Intelligent/dp/B01N8P8HT5#customerReviews was the wrong charger for me to buy? Maybe the charger is charging at to high voltage. I,m tying to get this charging part right as per Mooch but I have always had a hard time understanding amps, Mah thing. If I keep watching his videos one day it will sink in. He seems like a nice guy to even take time to do this. I just want to get it right. By the way thanks for taking you time to answer my first post. Maybe I can find a support group in the Houston area to visit. thanks

Do your "good" batteries end up fully charged between 4.1 - 4.2 volts? That is what they should be when fully charged.

To be honest with you, I had never heard of that charger before. I tried finding information on it, and could find it for sale only on Amazon and Fast Tech. I could find no reviews on that charger. Now, that might mean a couple of different things: Either it is a new brand charger on the market, or it is a cheaply made generic charger of unknown quality. Many unknown products end up for sale only on Ebay or Amazon.

Well known battery charger brands that have been around for a long time and have earned an excellent reputation for quality are (in no particular order) Xtar, Nitecore, Efest (LUC), Pila, and Opus. Prices run from about $20 to over $40 depending upon their feature set.

I can't tell you if you bought the wrong charger. It is a Li-ion charger. Never heard of the brand name, so that's a possible negative. It can only be found for sale on Amazon, so that is at the very least suspect.

I don't claim to be an expert on chargers, but I believe I know enough to have written the below blog to help new vapers find a charger that will best suit their vaping needs:

Guide to Choosing a Li-ion Battery Charger

  • Guide to help a novice in choosing a charger. Covers recommended brands, suggestions for the number of charging bays you'll need, independent bays, LED or LCD models, and "smart chargers".
