i always thought it was kinda silly when i would read someone was steering out the window for there package to get there. That is untill today. i slept in and missed my package and instead of leaving it outside like normal they took it to the darn post office. But this is what i want to know the note they left on my door says i have to wait till tomorrow to pick it up? does anyone have any experience with this can it be picked up tonight maybe?

it is going to be in that truck on that route until it goes back to base
so today is probably not going to happen

they usually leave a form that say's they tried to deliver but no one to sign
for it and that they will try again tomorrow..at least that what these here do

otherwise you have to go to the branch office in person and get it

Heh, I hate when this happens; I had to deal with it twice this last week.

The funny thing is I was home both times and I swear the mailman never even knocked or rang the bell. Nothing like having to waste gas on a trip to the post office because they were too lazy or too busy to knock.

It happened a few times with other stuff I ordered. I *know* I was home when he came but he never knocked or rang bell. I swear that sometimes if it won't fit in my box downstairs he just decides he doesn't want to bring it up and just leaves the note on my door instead. I think it hasn't happened to me with PV related purchases because they are small enough to fit in our complex's locked package drop.

My lazy postman is the same way. Leaves a note, on the gate (so it can blow away) and won't ring the bell.

I was lucky enough to be in the car going out right after he left my neighborhood once, and saw the road he turned on to next in our subdivision.

The next time he just dropped off a notice, he was surprised when I showed up with my notice as he was filling the curb side mail boxes a 1/4 mile away. I told him I WAS home and handed it to him, and I left with my package.
