Good Morning Folks,

Its been 24hrs since I had an analog, and I am pretty excited.

My kGo has been keeping me company, and keeping me satisfied with a little self control thrown in.

Yesterday morning I started with some high test 24mg "French Vanilla coffee" .. It was tasty then, and tasty today.

I did think of a Marlboro yesterday afternoon, But snuck into the bathroom at work instead and puffed some 24mg." Cola" for a few minutes. ( Felt like I was breaking the law a little .. Blowing my vapor down into my shirt in my tobacco free facility... LMAO.. )

Last night I cleaned up and put away my ashtrays while puffing on some low test 12mg. " Iced Green tea "..

I have no more Cigs left at home. and plan on keeping it that way..

I have some ideas of what may make my work scene a litte less obvious then puffing on my shiney chrome bat.

Thank you so much.. More posts and questions to follow after work today please :)

Have a great day.

Peace and God Bless.

LOL...yep, that's the ticket....drink tons of water, then you HAVE to go to the bathroom and vape :) Congrats....one hour at a time, one day at time. The first week you'll experience some bodily changes (taste, bowel movements and a variety of other things) but all is good. Will take a bit of time for your body to detoxify.....the most important thing for real......DRINK plenty of water. Wish I would have known that in the beginning.

Awesome!! Keep it up! Yes, drink lots of water. I had no idea how dehydrating these thing are but you get to do the bathroom stealth vape a lot more if you're drinking all that water!! I work in a hospital and have become a master of the stealth vape... except that every once in a while someone will say... it smells like chocolate in here!

Good Evening folks.

It was a good day today.. No major urges for an analog.. and lots of bathroom sneaks to toot my PV at work. LOL.

I came home today and decided to tinker with the tankomizer thing I bought and see if I could get it to work well.

After watching a few vids on the problematic small and insufficient hole at the bottom of the tank, I broke out the dremel tool and carefully increase its diameter to about 2.5 or 3mm..

I loaded the tank from the top with some more of "green tea" juice I opened yesterday till it was about 3/4 and then drip soaked the padding in the cartomizer part of the device.

I seemed to get a little juice down the center hole, as I had a little gurgling on the draw. I blew this out and ran a thin tapered pipecleaner about 1/2 down the center hole. This seemed to collect any excess in the tube.

A few toots in and I am getting very nice, rich and creamy vaper with a lovely green tea taste..

I diluted some extra flavored 24mg , 60/40 juice with an equal amount of pure PG. I am assuming now that I have a 12mg in 80/20 mix?

It still tastes very good and seems just the right viscosity in the tank.. Not seeing any leaks after about an hour.

I can tell I am going to enjoy this little hobby, as well as the benefit of being CIGARETTE FREE !!.

I am very satisfied with the KgO so far.. So I would imagine that will be my knock around the house PV..

I do feel a little embarrased to break this thing out amongst my peers..
I think they would be accepting of the standard E-cig small PV, But IMHO, this looks a little like a flashy for tooting in my office.

I might get mocked a bit..
One side of me says "F--K em".. I aint smoking, or dipping so it is all good. Another part wants to avoid attention as I am Management / Administration in a large hospital... and someone is always looking to bust chops over stupid crap.

Time will tell what I plan to do. No rush.

I feel I would like to now learn some more about cleaning all these gadgets and re-using what I can, as well as more mods for fun. I have read some stuff about boiling, denatured alcohol sprays and such..
What works best for you?

If I may ask another question..?

Is there a PV that I could just put a few drops onto some surface of an atomizer or the like and just taste a new juice without having to fill a whole cartomizer or cartridge? Easy clean-up then drop and sample taste again.?

Thank you for your help, comradary and most of all, PATIENCE..

If any of you would like advice on pipes, ( Briar, meershaum, cob .. etc) or selecting a nice cigar... Please shoot me a PM and I will glady offer my assistance..

Peace and God Bless..

Vin

You can use any PV that is a manual for dripping. It would ruin an automatic. Since you have a manual, go ahead and drip.....First, blow out your atty into a tissue just in case it was shipped with oil. If you see any liquid on the tissue, take a couple of quick puffs, but don't inhale. If the tissue was dry, you can start to drip. Screw any of your atomizers on the battery. Drip 3 drops of eliquid on it, put on a drip tip and you are good to go for about 3 or 4 vapes. After those, just drip 3 more drops. If your DT has a big enough hole, you don't even need to remove it, just put in the drops and give a gentle blow to make sure the drops get down to the atty and you are ready again to vape. I wouldn't bother to clean the atty before switching juices. The atty will be pretty dry after those 3 or 4 vapes.

A lot of people use dripping for tasting juices.

You're quite welcome. I have a rather cavalier attitude about juices. I almost never try a juice before I start vaping it. If I don't like it, I just start tinkering with it, adding this or that. I've never found a juice that I could not make acceptable eventually by adding different things to it. It's just like cooking without a recipe.........LOL

Congratulations! I'm glad to hear you have found a setup that is working well for you.

The method I use for cleaning and reusing my cartomizers is a bit of a hybrid one. Here's the breakdown of the steps:

1) Remove the the rubber cap or drip tip from the draw end and slide a carto condom about half way over the now open end. Tie a string around the threaded end and use the taryn spin method (video demonstration on youtube) to remove any leftover juice from the carto.

2) Heat up some distilled water to about the temperature you would steep a cup of tea in (don't bring it up to 212 deg to avoid the possibility of spontaneous boiling). I use a lure lock syringe with a carto condom that has the end cut off of it for this part, but a child's medicine syringe and rubber adapter available at Walgreens works as well. Slide the carto condom/syringe adapter over the open end of the carto and slowly draw the hot water through the carto and and push it back out into the sink to remove the majority of the juice in the filler. Then draw more hot watter back and forth through the carto several times. I do this about 20-30 times, but that's just my opinion.

3) Repeat step 1 to remove the excess water.

4) Repeat step 3 with PGA or high proof vodka instead of water. This step may not be absolutely necessary, but I like the peace of mind knowing the most residue and contaminants have been removed.

5) If you used step 4 then repeat step 1 to remove the alcohol and let sit overnight to ensure the carto is dry.

I have never tried any other method of cleaning because this satisfies my engineer/technician OCD and does an excelent job. Of the 6 boxes of cartos I purchased around when I started I still have three unopened and have only had 2 cartos not work after cleaning. Just MHO of what method of cleaning works best. Happy vapeing!

What you want is a plain atomizer and a drip tip. You drip three or so drops into the atomizer and puff away. If you have an atomizer but no drip tip, you can cut a hole in the end of one of the condoms that cartos come capped with, and put that on there in a pinch.

Glad your rig is working well for you. I've got a KGO and carto tank, and share your enthusiasm for both. As far as using the PV at work, I say go for it. C'mon, that thing looks cool -- show it off!
