Hi,
I quit smoking the smelly sticks on Nov. 4, 2013. Started out with a starter package from V2. I went for about two months on that with the only problem being not getting my reorders for more of the pre-filled cartridges from them in time. Their shipping times are very slow. You can order something and then they send you a tracking number the next day but it might not ship until the next week and you have no way of knowing. So in order to keep me from going back to smoking, I had to go to gas stations and by those $10 rip off disposables. I started wondering what else was out there and started reading these forums.

About a week and a half ago I got Ego starter package from Vaperite, and added a protank mini 2 and a bunch of juice. I loved the protank mini 2 so ordered another one and some more juice a few days later. I realized then that I really enjoy vaping so I went on a spending spree a few days later. I now have a Provari and an aspire nautilus bdc, an ibtanked, and a russian 91% will be arriving tomorrow. I bought some cotton from cvs today in anticipation. So far I like Bobas Bounty the best of the juices I've tried. Second is vR4 from vaperite.

I passed my v2 cigalikes to my younger brother along with about 25 cartridges and he is now 1 week smoke free!

I never knew quitting could be this easy. I've tried patches and gum and those were useless but e-cigs/vaping was really easy for me. I learned a lot on these forums. Thanks for all the info. Cheers!

Welcome! Vaping is quite extraordinary once you get the hang of it. I was never a hobbiest to cigarettes. I never went into the store and said "oohh a new flavor of camels, I wonder what those taste like" but now I find myself experimenting with different flavors and gear and I have to say it's quite enjoyable. Enjoy it friend, and remember the feeling of quitting smoking is better than the feeling of smoking.

Hi Adlinatl, I quit about a week before you did on Oct 28 2013. I'm also a 25 year smoker. About a week before I quit I started doing research between here and youtube. Unlike most beginners, I chose to start with the advanced gear - RBA, tanks, clearos, mech mods, and a vv/vw mod. I basically jumped into vaping with only youtube to guide me. It was intimidating at first but after a few trial and error with making coils I got the hang of it in a few days. What started out as merely a way to quit cigs became a hobby. I must admit that I spent a little more than I expected - much more than I'd smoke in a year. No regrets though. I've never felt this good since I was a teenager. I feel better, eat better, smell better, breathe better. Funny thing is, i didn't even know I was actually allergic to cig smoke until last week when I noticed my sinus congestion cleared up. When I went to the doc for a checkup he got me off my allergy and cholesterol meds!

Congrats and welcome to the club. If you have any questions, just pm!

Well, congratulations on the quit! Hubby and I quit right after Thanksgiving and haven't looked back! It's so much fun trying new flavors. I bought two starter kits apiece for us and then picked up more during a sales at Myfreedomsmokes.com. We really, really like the juice from ecblends, and with priority shipping, both places ship quickly.

My next venture is to find equipment upgrades and figure out how to replace coils and stuff like that. It's all a learning experience.
