Hey guys! Bought a 26650 copper stringray and the threads are painted -.-.... It's causing a nasty voltage drop anyway to fix this without ....ing up the threads? wire brush or will that make them course? suggestions?
Don't know whether this will work, but if you have a sonic cleaner lying around, you can try dropping it in. Perhaps it will help? If it doesn't, try scrapping a bit of the paint off and try again.
Noalox has fine zinc particles in it that are meant to cut through the aluminum olide coating on aluminum for better conductivity. The paint might be too thick but it might be worth a try. It also makes the threads feel better.
