Hi,
I'm still figuring out what works for me, so I went ahead and bought some 27 awg kanthal wire to try instead of the 30 gauge I've used so far.
I've punched the variables onto the Steam Engine page, and to get my vapour as warm as I did with the 30 gauge, without draining my poor istick Pico, I'd have to shift down from 1.4 ohms to 0.8. This translates to 6 wraps with a 2mm inner diameter.
My first concern is, would it be safe? Sorry if I sound silly, but I am a little new at this.
Other than that, will such a coil take a lunar cycle to heat up?
I guess my question really is, am I on the wrong track?
Any suggestions are very much appreciated. :)
