28k with 12 wraps .1 ohm??

So I wanted to rebuild one of the new kanger's, I did 12 wraps of 28 Kanthal A1 with a .06 inner diameter but it's reading 0.1 ohm. Shouldn't that read 1.5 ohm, where am I going wrong

It looks like the coil is touching the base, in which case you are shorting the atty.

Yes you are probably shorting on 1 of your legs. You must realy sculpt those legs in to avoid shorts on a coil that long.

Thanks Guy's, for some reason I was thinking it would show a "---" for a short. but I worked it a bit more and now it's at 1.5

Will probably show that when it's an open circuit - i.e. with nothing there.

28 is pretty big to get inside those cups. When I rebuild Kanger's, I tend to 30, or even 32.
