Congrats on the 2nd Reo. They seem to almost order themselves, sneaky they are. :thumb:

I'm the ultimate impulse buyer. I wonder why the CC company keep on upping my credit limit

Ya they have their ways, REOs are as addicting as NT juice. and as big of a no brainer IMO as NT juice :)

Wonder if there's a self-help group for these addictions, or is ECF it ;)

"Hi, my name's Ian and I'm a Reo, NT and general vaping addict"

Buy things like this as soon as you can and realize if you want to continue buying replacement heads for your current equiptment it is wise to note the following:

(From a discussion about the FDA mess even IF the FDA allows anything released after 2007 to be considered...)

Oh no...I feel sick. I guess someway or another I'm gonna have to get into rebuilding...I really really hope and pray the market doesn't go into a stockpiling mentality..nothing will be affordable or be available to purchase...as well as vaping as we know it rapidly disappearing...now I'm depressed.

don't be depressed brother. yeah the potential here is grim but there are work arounds. think of it like this: they can only do so much. the people they will most affect are future converts from smoking to vaping--which is TERRIBLE. for those already vaping, they will mostly affect people using stock coils. for people who build their own coils and wicks, the only problem will be getting the flavored nicotine liquid that we want. Can still make our own but the nic may be hard to come by...

I will add that mechanical devices have a huge edge over other devices for longevity here. For instance: an MVP battery will eventually die and the device rendered useless. But in a mech, if a battery dies, we will always be able to buy a new battery for it. My REO takes the same battery my laser pointers do--an 18650. lots of flashlights use these. no danger of FDA action there, but maybe with the mech itself for future buyers.

Yeah, I'm there now...but I have mechs and wire and tons of PT heads I can rebuild and batteries will never be completely outlawed or the wire or the wicking material so I am set. I can see many of this stuff coming back to being available to us once the lawyers flex their muscles within a couple years but I'm an over-planner...and hoarding all this stuff makes me feel better. Like clinging to my security blanket made out of GCD, PT heads, batteries and mechs.

I talked to Matt from "Suck My Mod" on FB and what he said is that IF the FDA regulations go through that with everyone filing lawsuits and such they're guesstimating it will take atleast 5 or so years for the regulations to be in effect...Every time I get a little light at the end of tunnel its get further and further away...I still honestly can't believe how small the numbers of people who sent comments was..but alas, thats a topic for another time.

As for the Reos,Is there a regulated/DNA30 Reo in the works...? I remember there was a model they used to make...I think.

Rob quit making regulated devices, because (not to speak for him mind you--but to my understanding, second hand info) he doesn't want to use parts he doesn't build himself. However, i think what IS in the works is a REO with a space for a kicker, so you can add a kicker yourself which will regulate the REO. think you can use one anyway but having the pre-made space for it is supposed to be helpful. i'm not knowledgeable on this stuff though...and i don't care at all about VV/VW. if you were to post on the REO forums about it I'm sure you'd get more detailed/accurate information on what's in the works and how it will work :)

I seem to be the forum optimist but I truly believe they will not manage to overly regulate these products we love and cherish. I'm sure SOME regulations will go through--and SOME, the right ones, I'm personally fine with. Any kind of ban, though, and they've made an enemy of me.

oh wait. I'm already their enemy. they are terrible at everything they do.

Yeah, there was. Not sure if Rob is going to try that again. Personally I am in a co-op for an USA made DNA30 mod and my second Dibi is soon. I may buy a few MVP2's to hug when I'm scared but I have one more that hasn't ever been used to go before I hit my cc again. That is until the SR's start up again.

why, for VV/VW? is that what you mean?

Yep,DNA30 is the name of the chip. With it in it, the chip would make the Reo a regulated 30w device...I just prefer the vape I get with a regulated mod it always gives you that wattage you put in and the quality of the vape doesn't go down as the batteries die.

It's only for invites or folks who got an email about it having been in the co-op organizer's other co-ops. I only got in because I had someone beg the organizer to let me in. I don't feel comfortable sharing that info...sorry...

The Dibi however is stunning and if you want one just PM Pdib and get on the list. Currently he's completing something like #60-70 and his list is in the 300's by now. And they are very beautiful and very well made. :D

No worries about the Group-buy I understand, but thanks on the heads-up on the Dibi...always on the look out for custom mods especially wooden ones!

I don't see how rebuilding is avoidable if you want a decent vape - if the FDA has their way, we'll all be buying disposable cig-a-likes from Big Tobacco at $5/pop.

We're banking on this, and investing in one of the organizations that will file those suits (SFATA).

Yeah, I'd like to see them TRY that!!! 300+ heads I can remake myself and my mountain of juice stashed means I'm a good 5 years before I have to worry about the FDA's stupid regulations...

Meg does juice really stay good that long? i thought it started to go bad (to my understanding "going bad" simply means diminishing flavor and nicotine content--NOT anything harmful) after a year -- please say not true YES???

(actually if you say not true, I will proceed to order 500ml of Wakonda every pay check for a year to come...)
