2nd Reo

Evening fellow Reonauts, to celebrate my first year off the stinkies bought myself a brand new TRA SL/LP and a RM4. Would like to ask a few questions, is it normal for the RM4 to not sit all the way down on the deck? Also, the allen screws are still breaking the 28awg coil wires after filing them down smooth, had to wrap a twisted coil to use it.

Question back atcha - did you get the mod used and does it have the new or older 510 connector type? If it's the older one, some atties can sit a bit higher than the cup when screwed fully in. With the new 510 you can adjust it to sit the atty down flush.

As for the scews, I'd suggest filing them some more. I don't have any problems with the screws on my RM4.

I have an RM4 sometimes it just appears like its sideways or not on right with my Reo. Just check the top cap that's usually the case with mine. And I haven't had that problem with my Allen keys breaking the coils and I do 9ish wraps of 28G kanthol wire.

Gratz on a year and the new gear.

My newest Reo is also a TRA LP/SL. I have an Atomic (what the RM4 is from), never had any issues with it cutting wire the only time I built/used it before retiring it, or it sitting down on the older 510 the Reo it was on has. If I remember (I'm pretty sure) the build was a dual 28g.

I love my atomic (rm4)! I find myself using it again more every day. I keep trying all the latest and greatest but keep reaching for the trusty atomic. Something about that atty that just does it for me I guess.
