I started with ecigs with the stuff they sell in Gas stations. I kind of enjoyed them, so I researched untill my eyes turned red. My switch wasn't cold turkey like some other members have done. For the first two days I cut down to 5 analogs. For the next week 2 analogs a day. Then for the last week I didn't smoke any more analogs.

Some of the advantages I have noticed since switching are my vehicle and clothes no longer stink like cigarettes. I can tell the diference when I get in my wife car, she smokes too. She is not a convert yet, but her sister is:evil:. The funny part about getting my sister-in-law to switch was we where picking up some xmas decorations in storage and I was happily vaping . She was all furious "You know... U can't smoke in here" my reply was "I'm not smoking, I'm vaping, this is an ecig, would you like to try?" After she tried it, she began asking me all types of questions about ecigs. After some research I have learned to hide my ecig vapor thanks again to the forum. It has come really handy, in some situations, where I don't fell like explaining about ecigs.

On a happy note I'm no longer buying the ecigs from gas stations, I finished my first mod yesterday (The Puck). :) Would load pictures but need to do more posts.

You got me thinking here. A friend of mine wants to get an e-cigg after trying mine out. The only problem is - he's incredibly obnoxious (I don't like obnoxious people, he's a friend of a friend of mine actually) - and I know he'll likely use it to cause a scene in public places and act like a total jack#!%. On the one hand I don't feel good about that, but on the other hand I do. Every person has the right to know about vaping - or anything concerning their health. Keeping quiet is neccessary sometimes, yet I feel obliged to spread the word as much as I can - even to a total jack$#!, although next time... I might just pass.

Hi and Welcome to the ECF! Everyone has to come to wanting to quit analogs on their own. IMHO your example may pique her interest and get her seeing the benefit of vaping. I completely relate to the car thing. My car is finally free of ashes and I don't have to worry about burning holes in my upholstery anymore. Smoking makes your car really funky.

Congratulations!
