Ordered myslef a couple of smoktek tanks from Madvapes for 10 bucks each, and boy am I pleased with this purchase.
I ordered the ones with the chrome plated end caps. First of all, they look absolutely great; quite a bit smaller than what I pictured them to be in my head, a pleasant surprise. I don't think they are made of polished aluminum as purported on the Mad Vapes website, but the quality is good. I'll wait to see if the chrome bubbles or flakes at all.
Each tank came with a flanged carto, and a clear drip tip as well. Talk about value, wow.
I immediately cut them with a pipe cutter so that they would fit my boges, which took a total of 3 minutes (I'm not a big fan of DC Carts, I get scratchy throat hits with them myself).
Punched some holes in my Boge, and in it went. Great seal.The tank stays firmly in place. I filled one up with Bounty Hunter, and took one to work with me (I'm a door to door canvasser for solar at the moment, so I walk all day) and it is definitely pocket safe, which I'm very happy about. It sure is great not having to top off. This is my first tank, and I am very pleased with it. I don't really see a reason to spend more money on a more expensive one.
Anyway, I will have to do a little tinkering with the size and quantity of holes I punch in it to get the perfect wicking. Can anyone point me to a thread that perhaps serves as a guide, explaining what works best for what %PG/VG.
With 2 punches I'm getting pretty good wicking, it gurgles for the first 5 or so hits after a fill, and then everything seems to get settled and it wicks well, if not a hair too dry. Might just have to experiment.
Anyway, A + rating from me. Great Product. Great Price. Looks Great. Sold on tanks!!!
