The way I look at it is if I buy 3 packs I'm adding $1/atty for shipping making them $4/each, pretty darned cheap, just saying!
It's actually cheaper than that given that shipping is *usually* $5 from ANYCOMPANY.com. So, GreenhouseOne is $10 more than merchant XYZ, not $15.
Now, I bought (2) LR 5 packs (and batteries to further offset the shipping cost). Worst case scenario, let's say, all 10 attys go dead by week 25 -- (about 2+ weeks per). Those attys then go back in one shipment for replacement. Even paying the shipping one way, how much are those attys then?
I took a shot. I think it's well worth it even though I'm a Joye/Cisco kinda guy.
So far they perform pretty well by the way. Just 3 days in, though. The draw is looser than I like it but I adapted pretty fast to it. They don't get as warm as, say, Joye 510 LRs but they deliver a nice TH and nearly as much vapor as any LR I've tried. The cooler vapor makes sense because they are measuring 1.7 ohm, not 1.5 ohm. In short, the atty (again I've only tried 1) is more of the medium resistance variety -- far better than a standard 2.2 ohm Joye but not quite as warm as a true 1.5 ohm. If the slightly less warm vapor results in a longer lasting LR atty then I'll be back for more. In fact, given the price and warranty I might be back anyway. YMMV, as they say... =)
