3 ohm

HI I'm new here, just got on today for the first time, I have a question, I'm going to get the ego twist, I heard that you should use 3 ohm single coil cartos on that and it will work just fine all the way up to 4.8 volts, my question is will it work just as well at like 4 volts Or less should 3 ohm be run at high voltage in order to get performance out of it? The reason why I ask is because different juices work at various different voltages and so on.

3 ohm cartos are great because you can adjust to taste. If the juice doesn't taste good at 4.8 just turn it down. That's the beauty of variable voltage.

There has been some quality issues with Boge cartos, hopefully they will fix it. I'm thinking of trying genuine Joytech cartos to see of those are any better.

If you're driving all day, you might consider a tank like a Vivi Nova or Stardust.

Hey Paul,

The Vivi Nova tanks are a good solution and won't leak. Cartomizers with tanks I've always been a bit iffy on as they do tend to leak and if you grab them wrong some tanks will come off easily and dump all of your juice. The vivi tanks are sealed completely and the heads are about 3 dollars to replace. They tend to last at least a couple of weeks each so the price isn't that bad. For your setup I would recommend the 2.8ohm heads as last I checked they don't make a 3.0. It's close enough though at he 2.8.

Boge are generally well liked and have a good track record. There have been some quality issues lately that I believe have been addressed. A lot of people are also finding the Smoktech cartomizers to be quite good. They are both a fairly good value but the nova would be a good way to go if you don't want to be refilling juice very often.

Edit: Also with variable voltage I would personally stay away from dual coil. It's simply not necessary and will just drain your battery much faster.

Thank you, I just checked out the viva nova out, I like the way they look, and they don't cost too much, and yes 2.8 is the highest ohm rating they have, but how often am I really going to vape at 4.8 volts? Probably not a whole lot. They look easy to replace the heads in them too. And I will stay away from dual coil, like you said not necessary with variable voltage. This is very nice I thank you all for helping me out with this, I have been vapeing since last sept. and kind of stumbling my way through the whole thing.

Another vote for the Twist and Vivi Nova. When I use the 2.8 heads I'm usually at 4.5 volts. Sometimes more, sometimes less depending on the juice. That's the beauty of the Twist--dial that sucker until it tastes good. Get you a lanyard and you'll be set up for a day of driving. Good vaping!
