As I said 3 weeks today without smoking (with the exception of one where I was just trying it to see if it would make me want more of them, which it did not!) So I went from a few weeks on Blu cheap ecigs and that let me know it would work but I needed a better setup.

Up comes a Itazte VTR with a Kangar Aero tank, A Nauti tank and the I30 tank that came with it along with 2 batteries and the charger. Traded for a nice weed eater I no longer need :D

Needless to say I am hooked on this from a standpoint of cutting cigs out totally and also reducing my nic levels down to nothing or only 1-3% max if I so incline on occasion. As of now I am already down to 3-6mg juices so its working well. I smoked roughly a pack of Marlboro's a day before. Now I am using about 2-3ml of juice a day total and that 3 is on the high side.

Being that I have a degree in Industrial Engineering the Mech side of this interests me as well just for the novelty of it. It is like a vapors electrical erector set :) although I can't see myself going towards the huge clouds and fast juice burning of sub ohm mech setups or drippers etc, I can see myself wanting to mod out a few RBA style setups for the levels I like and tweak on those. Might even have to fire up the benchtop CNC mill and cut some mod boxes with cool design carvings but that is down the line.

For now I am here to learn from all those that have gone before me and piece it all together in my head from there. Mostly interested in best places for the best prices and the best service. Also the BIGGIE, the best JUICES!!! I know, I know taste is subjective but I do hope to find some really good liquids suggested here along the way.

So Hello Everyone! I'll probably lurk a bit more as I get over the learning curve and relearn all the electrical stuff I've forgotten since college 20+ years ago

Welcome! Congrats on 3 weeks, I just hit the 3 week mark a couple days ago and already feeling better. As far as juices, you're definitely right about it depending on the person, but when I bought my first vaporizer (very first one was like a year ago and it was cheap, and I couldn't get hooked) I was trying all sorts of tobacco flavors and then it hit me the second go around...try something that is meant to taste good dummy! lol. That being said, a few I've found that are real tasty, Space Jam Astro, Wall St Stock, and Cosmic Fog Kryptonite, all of them have a melon/strawberry taste and are completely delicious, and you can get smaller bottles for cheaper to try stuff out. Check out http://www.vaporbeast.com, they have a decent selection and pretty fair prices all around. Good luck and have fun off the analogs!

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. I really see no reason to go back to analog smoking even after just 3 weeks. I have a 7 day cruise over Christmas and got the Unlimited Drink Package.. Sooooo if I can survive a week of Booze Cruising without buying any smokes I will know the beast has been conquered! That is one of those really hard things for me to do without smoking but I feel confident this will do the trick and plan to bring some 12mg juice with me just in case the alcohol/nicotine monkey turns into a Silver Back Gorilla :)

Appreciate the tip on the App I will have to check that out and also on the juices they will go on my list of up and comers HA!

Welcome to all you fellow newbies as well!

And if you are reading all these posts lurking wondering should I try to quit cigs and go to vaping and on the fence because it looks like a PITA or difficult to do just give it a try and a fair try and you will be surprised. I think the thing some friends that have tried it miss is that taking one or two vapes and going eww isn't enough time to learn to appreciate the flavors out there. Some have spent 30-40 years smoking the same brand of analog and somehow think that ditch weed tobacco actually tastes good (I know I did!) and I still like a tobacco liquid now and then. But the key is to remember the flavors have to be acquired tastes just like their analogs were and the process of vaping has to be learned as the way it is done so far as I have found is not similar in technique if you want a similar amount of smoke/vape as you had before. Then you get into the VV/VW Models and you can tweak the power to give more intense flavors or throaty pulls. I have a particular wattage setting on my VTR I have found for each juice so far that gives it the best taste and vape and while some are close to one another no two are the same.
