Trying to get into 306 attys. I got a couple of Cisco LRs, but it seems impossible to remove the freaking drip tips. If anyone has any suggestions I would very much appreciate them.
306 Drip Tip Removal?

Don't put them on so far!!! When I put mined on I only do it until it stops on it's own. I don't force them on at all. The first one I had I pushed all the way on and had to break it to get it off!
You may want to try getting the atty really warm and then try to pull it off. Which drip tip do you have?
I have three different 306 drip tips. One from nhaler (which I've had no real problems with the fit), another black one from Vapor Flow (slightly tighter fit), and a translucent one also from Vapor Flow (very tight fit) that didn't even go all the way down.
The Vapor Flow website tells you not to force the translucent drip tips all the way down. I didn't force it down, but after several days of use, it worked it's way down. So, It got stuck on an atty. I just got the atty warm and then carefully twisted (like you're screwing on the atty) and pulled at the same time. It came off without breaking but I could see one of these breaking easily.
There are also some different sizes of 306's out there. I've had a few that seemed to be a bit bigger in diameter than the Cisco LR 306. I had a standard Joye 306 that came apart with part of it still in the drip tip.
So with all that being said, my suggestion may or may not work.

I haven't used these, but the Cannon drip tips are supposed to address this issue of 306's sometimes being tapered and drip tips not fitting right.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I have a 306 LR atty from Nhaler that is terrible. The draw is ridiculously stiff, and terrible performance. No big deal except I really would like to salvage the totally sweet green drip tip. I have no qwuams(sp?) with destroying the atty.
I've read complaints of the Delrin ones becoming too loose after a while. Haven't had that problem myself, although I find they easily fit on and off now. If they are tight getting the atty hot seems to work best though.
I'll be darned too.

The 1st time I tried to remove a stubborn 306 drip tip, the atty came apart and I had my V2 dangling on wires!
I now give them a quick soak in really hot water and rock it back and forth on a dead 510 battery (I have it laying around for that purpose). Basically the same principal as loosening a stubborn jar lid.
