Hi Amy,

I have a request that you try to acquire taller drip tips for the 306/306LR atomizers. The ones you currently have stick out of the eGo cone only about 8 or 9 millimeters which makes it unpleasant to use with the cone. Is it possible? :vapor:

Thank you for your request. we will talk with our engineer and see whether we can make it. :)

I believe you sould check for extension/adapter for your atomizer instead of drip tip.

Yes, I've been advised to do that but it doesn't solve the main problem of sucking juice. I will either need a different design or mod one of my own. So it's back to the drip tip. All the adapter does is make it stand up taller. Thank you.

The longer drip tip for the 306 is a necessity for sure, I have been using my modded 306 tip for quite some time now, in which I cut a piece of the original 306 tip off at 1/2 inch slide it on the Atty then take a blank XL 510 carto gutted and slip it over the 306 piece, this works better then anything else I have used including the Cannons which I cant stand

I did order one of the translucent 306 tips this time to try out. It was one of today's arrivals. It is the same length as the black delrin, but I knew that going in and thought this one might just solve the juice-sucking problem at least. That is because there is more room for the juice near the bridge, as the taper begins higher up on the drip tip. I'll give it a go one of these days, as well as Matt's mod, but I am looking forward to the HC extended tips and if they are not Cannon copies, I will rejoice, as they will be the first ones I have found after scouring the web that will be longer AND fit the cone cover for the eGo!

When Amy told me they would not be able to make these, I was disappointed to say the least. I then went on my search, and reported back to Amy what I found, as requested. All I could point to is the Cannon, which is why I hope they didn't go and copy that thing or at least if they did, made it fit in the cone cover. I did tell them it didn't fit. I don't know what could have changed from then and now to go from "we can't make it" to "they'll be in this week." It's been two weeks or less since that exchange and I doubt they could have gotten a Cannon and copied it that quickly, which gives hope. This is where I would insert a prayer smiley if there was one! :)

And by the way, the Cannon does not fit all the way down onto the Joye 306 bottom ledge. There is a good 1/8-1/4" gap there and even at that the fit is uneven on some Joye 306's and hella hard to pull off if not well nigh impossible without attaching it to a battery first. If you have to do that I highly advise that you use one that you don't care about should you pull the whole damn thing apart. Evidently it was designed for the Cisco 306 but I can't imagine the dimensions of those are that different, but I don't know that.

I will...what do you use to cut the drip tip...an exacto knife or something? Like I said in the CE2 thread, I am mechanically impaired in the extreme. The rest of your explanation I understand.

ya just an exacto knife or utility knife, and saw it back and forth to get going then it goes right through it, I put just a dab of super glue to hold them together better and now it is perfect, goes down tight to the bottom of the Atty and mine is a full 2" long with an Iken mega carto over it, runs perfect, no juice in the mouth and has a perfect draw, and I mean perfect draw

Matt, I have to tell you the story. I told you I am mechanically "impaired", right...LOL? Okay I did your mod, got the gutted carto tube and the cut off drip tip for the inside, put it all together on the atty, great fit, not too tight, not too loose. Awesome so far. Shoulda stopped there. Glued the drip tip bit inside the tube, let it dry and put it on the the atty where of course it was very tight now and couldn't get it off until it came off with the whole top of the atty....into the garbage that all went...HAHAHAHA...I am USELESS!

Next time, I'm using a little less glue I think or lubing both before I put it on, I am so DUMB. :)

you're over complicating things I think....the most mechanical part of the process is removing the innards of the 510 carto or atty (heck even a dead 510 battery)...

the plastic from the 306 cartridge does seem to taper a bit and it will seem to fit the atty tighter one way than the other....I myself don't glue them...and the shell from a dead 510 atty will work just as well too (it's long enough to clear the eGo cone)... I mentioned the battery because that will work too if you have a dead one (and it's almost easier.. expecially if you're good at destroying things :p ) ...pry off the ash cap and you'll see the pcb...grab that with a pair of tweezers or something and give that a good hard yank...generally that'll break the wire inside and the battery will slide out too...once the battery is out the tube is clear pretty much all the way to the button (I then just cut the tube to whatever length using a dremel cut off wheel)...
I pry the tube off...but a 510 drip tip on it...cut the mouthpiece end of the 306 cartridge off and slide that into the shell mouthpiece end first...and then cut the remainer off flush with the shell using a new utility knife blade... it fits very very snug at first...but as the atty heats the cartridge plastic it softens it a bit and it fits much better after some serious chain vaping...

306 atty, 306 cartridge (cut), 510 atty shell (innards removed), shortie drip tip...

all put together

*PS I once vagely knew a Scott from Mi who was a huge Siouxsi & the Banshees fan ....wouldn't that be wierd

you know now that I have a drip tip that I don't suck juice with I could just use my eGo to 510 battery charger adapter to extend the thing further outside the cone as someone suggested earlier in the thread...might be the best thing at this point until the longer tips are available.

Anyway, all these ideas are workable, there's more than one way to skin a c...wait I love cats so I hate that saying...LOL
