I have a few questions about the whole concept of a 30W mod.

1) I've been waiting eagerly for the KSD Vamo 30w mod to come out. I see other 30w mods come out, and most seem to rely on a two battery system. After doing some thinking and looking at ohms law calculator, I've noticed a few things.
a) using ohms law calculator, a 30w output using a 4.2v freshly charged battery says it should work with a .588 ohm coil. Most of the 30w mods have a limit of a .5 ohm coil... is this a coincidence?
b) most of the clone 30w mods comming out require two batteries or have two batteries installed. is this a coincidence?
c) the Evolve dna 30 can get 8.3 volts out of a 4.2v battery.... exactly how does it get double without pulsing.
d) would a two battery 30w system perform better than a single?

2) I know the demand is there, but why is supply so hard for a decent 30w mod? It makes me want to make my own instead of waiting.
3) Has there been any talk about a 30w kick module?
4) I only have $100 budgeted for a 30w mod... I've had that for the last two months. I haven't pulled the trigger yet, and it looks like it'll probably be a CHDNA model. Any US 30w mods?

can anyone shed some light on the subject? Thanks in advance.

The cana uses 1 18650. As long as it's a 30 amp battery, it will work.

Yea, that's my current #1 on my list. I'm more partial to the tube mods, but imagining the length of a 18650+chip/buttons+atomizer makes me understand the need to go to a box mod. :) If I thought my Vamo V5 was big, the DNA/CHDNA chips are even bigger. :)

2x 18650 batteries are for battery life. Think about how quick your battery dies running your 15-20w device at max. Now imagine it draining 2ce as fast... You get the point :)

As to why it's so hard to find one... The demand isn't as big as you think. You gotta remember, the average e-cig user is using an e-go style battery with a basic tank. Fewer are using a vamo, mpv, provari, etc, which work just as well if not better than a DNA30 for non-rebuildables. (DNA30 has a minimum output of 4v I believe, which is asking too much for some factory coils). Even fewer are rebuilding, and fewer than that are the ones that want a DNA30 over a mech mod or their current VV/VW devices. See where this is going?

You can get a 50w mod for $99.99 (Pre-order, here). They also have a 35w mod for $79.99, both of them use the raptor chip I believe. There's also a CHDNA30 Tobeco tube mod on e-bay for like $80, that ones not a pre-order.

Tobeco tube.. no removable top cap might be an issue. Since I don't know the quality of the center pin, I don't know if it's fixable if it goes bad. Other than that, it looks... "ok".

And as far as the 50w box mod, I'd have to see the inside of it first. I don't want a hot-glued version like this:

If it is, I'd at least want to know before spending the money. I'm quite skeptical about pre-ordering from a site I have not heard of and not seen true reviews on.

Never heard of the site either... Googling doesn't turn up anything bad, but I can see where you're coming from wanting to see the "guts" before fronting that kinda cash on a mod coming from Israel. I was in the market for a DNA30 myself recently (Still am, just backed out temporarily for financial reasons) so figured I'd pass along the cheap options I turned up :p
