Hello. So yeah 31 days after my last cigarette I celebrated by buying myself a cloud beast tank for easier and more flexible RBA building with dual coils and such. 75 watt kangertech will be no match for his monster so for now I stare at it lovingly. I found myself lost in the mods forum looking for suggestions but I was likely in the wrong one because all I saw were old posts. I think I want a regulated one with 2 batteries and what, 150 watts? Anybody have a favorite regulated mod to recommend that isn't huge? Thanks in advance!

Cowtown, USA. Where the West begins.
Do you want temp control? I recently fell in love with the Squid Industries Double Barrel. I liked it so much I bought it's big brother, the Tac21, designed for 20/21700 batteries, the day it became available for sale. American made gear. However, they do not do TC, so if that's what you want, look elsewhere. Also, being from a small company, they are not as cheap as Chinese mass produced mods. I didn't find them exorbitant by any means, but you'll part with a Franklin and a bit.

Failing that, I have personally had good luck with Wismec regulated mods. I have a Predator and 3, or maybe 4, RX200s. I like them a lot.

FWIW, I don't care to vape in the 150 watt range, and I don't know a lot of people who do so regularly, The vape gets pretty hot up that way...

Sigelei Fuchai 213, Sigelei Kaos... Vaporesso mods are great, too. Check out the Revenger and Revenger X. I use the Revenger and love it, but some folks find it too "tippy" (meaning it gets knocked over too easily, though I haven't had that issue). However, if you use a Kanger Topbox Mini with no issues... a Revenger isn't going to cause any problems with getting tipped over.

Great info, I'll have to look into the ines listed and any others that come in. I was flirting with TC but that was last week and I think I got bad advice when I went that way. As for vaping at 150 watts, yeah I don't see that happening but just thought that if I can't get into the manufacturer recommended wattage range, the massive coils might be underpowered and light on the vapor and flavor. No idea if that's true but it seems like it could be. Thanks

Take a look at the Smoant line of mods. All are rock solid reliable devices and budget friendly. I have the Cylon, Charon tc, and the Charon Adjustable. Their Battlestar is also a great mod. You will have to use the rba head to use tc with a Smok tank, they have no tc coils. You can build the rba to work with your 75w device.

Welcome to ECF and congrats on your success in quitting smoking, that's fantastic.

If you want a very small, light, two battery mod, I'd recommend the Eleaf Invoke. It's a fantastic vape, and very pocket and hand friendly.

With your wattages, you are going to want a two battery mod though, at the least, and you're going to need higher Amp batteries, as well. TC is decent, serviceable, but seems to work okay when I've used it.

Other manufacturers that are mostly well regarded would include Voopoo, Vapresso, Teslacigs, and several others, I am sure you will get more suggestions.

Welcome to ECF and congrats on the road to quitting, that's fantastic! I hope you enjoy whatever you wind up getting.

Don't really have a Recommendation on a Dual Battery Mod. I like Single Battery Mods myself.

But a Big Thumbs Up for 31(32) days Smoke Free!

Great recommendations, looking at several of these. I did take the advice of Skunk! and wicked up the cloud beast RBA and put it on the Kanger mod and the power levels were fine but the battery dropped quickly. I did not count on how foreign to my limited experience the CB draw was going to be. I also had no clue the large size of the mouthpiece would matter to me but it felt like I was vaping through a garden hose. Vaping is so strange for the newbie - think maybe I need to stay the course with what has been working and not force myself away from a familiarity which I didn't know I had developed. Guess that's how habits are formed eh?

Have you seen these?

Wismec SINUOUS P80 80W TC VW APV Box Mod

$29.08 Authentic Wismec SINUOUS P80 80W TC VW APV Box Mod - 1-80W / 100-315'C(200-600'F) / 1*18650 at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

This is just a one battery mod but it packs a punch and can power that tank and many others very well. Its small in form but can take up to a 25mm diameter tank. The link I listed was just to show you what I was talking about. You can find these in the US but may pay slightly more but will receive it in days rather than weeks from overseas.

just my 2 pennies.

Their 'ranges' are usually way off the mark. They just want them to wear out faster so you will buy more. The point of vaping other than to keep you off the stinkies is to enjoy your vape. Find your own sweet spot no matter what the watts. If you enjoy what you are vaping and you aren't jonsing for a smoke then the watts don't really matter. Play around with the watts to see where the juice taste the best. That is what I do.
