3mm wick, too big?

Got my ZAP today and removed the wick hole insulator. The wick I made fits the hole and moves around without issue but it is very close to 3mm. Can this be too big? I seem to be getting really thin hits compared to my DUD. Same mesh type/coil resistance ect.

I'm pretty sure the air holes are the same also 1.5mm

i did the same thing on mine. i think its the design of the zap, not just the air hole size. take a really light yet longer draw and it should hit a lot better.
