Really, vaping is becoming expensive. I know, the Aspire nautilus and the Kanger Aerotank are two beefy things. Really, not only it's out of budget, but IS IT WORTH IT? I'm one of the people the Aspire didn't work. I have to add tons of water to my regular liquids, and even Liqua liquids (the lightest of the bunch at 70/30) have problems wicking.

I believe there's people that can afford it, but at this pace, only a few lucky ones will be able to afford it. Everything is getting more expensive by the minute, except of the contrary, everything for every budget.

I'll stick to my Vapeonly BCC and Puritank with eVod heads for rougher liquids. My message for the thousand of companies that are rolling things endlessly is: I'm not happy, but I'm not willing to try your crap anymore. At any price.

$40 could be reasonable - but to me, only if it is an SS tank design in RBA form.
Something almost indestructible that I can tune to my preferences.

Nothing classified as Disposable or even semi-Disposable should come near $20.

I understand the need to keep business going but either Build it better and charge more or build it cheaper and sell more.:glare:

ETA - Just a Little COST Info
My roughly $20 rebuildable Carto(Style) tanks will Vape circles around them

X8 Carto Tank - Soul purpose to provide a fill hole.
RainBow Heaven Killer 705 Clone - rebuildable replacement for Carto tank

Functions like a Tank and Vapes like A Dripper:vapor:

Realistically, vaping is only as expensive as you make it. If you're constantly searching for a better vape than what you have now, yes, it can get expensive pretty quickly; there will always be something new right around the corner. However, if you learn to make do with what you have, it's fairly cheap.

You decide and have control over whether vaping turns into a hobby or if it's just a way to keep you off cigarettes.

For many, a Protank 2 works just fine and the $15-$20 they spent on it is all they needed to spend on a tank to get a good vape. For some of us, we want to pursue the never-ending chase for better vapor, better flavor etc. Do we have to? No, we want to.

The same applies to e-liquids. If you're content with simple flavors, Mt. Baker Vapor is the go-to source for cheap e-liquid. For most, it's all they need to keep them vaping. For others, we want more complex flavors, so we'll pay more for the time and effort put into making some of the more expensive "designer" e-liquids that are on the market.

I'm looking forward to trying out a Kanger Aeroflow at some point because it'll fit in my VTR. I also want to see how it compares in vape production to the iClear30s that came with the VTR. I'm intrigued with the idea of dual coils and airflow control in one head.

However, the Aeroflow isn't supposed to hit the vendors until the 17th of this month and I'll wait for someone to offer it on sale at some later date because, if for no other reason, I'm too damned cheap.

It sounds like you would have benefited from an air control ring when trying those Aspires. I've vaped straight VG juice out of mine.

It's pricey, and I'll wait for the reviews to pile in and the price to drop before I think about jumping on one. That $40 is getting towards my upper limit for a "good" clone of a tank, and about twice what I'd be comfortable dropping on a plain jane tank.

That, and the fact that I don't see how it could be THAT much better than a normal Aspire on a $3 AFC ring...

I've stuck mostly to 50/50, and haven't had any issues with my Aspire tanks.

Air is not the issue, at least not for me. When mounted on the Vamo V3 there's a huge gap between the clearo and the mod. And still, I have to do a lot of dry pulls with the two hole version. Maybe it's the adapter ring of the Davide that gives me trouble. I'll try the regular Vivi style clearo that uses the same heads.

my local b&m already have it.. got one last weekend.. its way better than pt3 especially if you put on apv that has no gap for airflow.. :vapor:

You can't really look at it that way. It's like saying coffee is becoming expensive because Starbucks has five dollar cups of coffee.

Vaping doesn't have to be expensive. In fact, for the stuff I use (basic egos/clearos), it's getting cheaper.

One day I'll start a thread on Starbucks. Here, in a country where EVERY bar, no matter how cheap it is, has an expresso machine that can be had for 2 bucks (or less), on proper china, people cough up 5 bucks for a carton full of foam and milk with just a hint of coffee...

Yes, you can vape cheap with cheap disposables, but I think they've crossed the line with disposables. I use disposables when going out because I can't fiddle with a Kayfun while driving, not to mention they're heavy on top of a full size SS mod...

Some people actually look forward to collecting $40 (and up... by a lot) tanks and such. Check out the price of a real Caravela mod (if you can get one). For them, it's a hobby, not just a tool to quit smoking.

On the other hand, I've seen prices on things like EVODS plummet from an already low price - it's like $5 for a tank. If that's what you want, cool beans, and I suspect as vaping broadens it's reach, the demand for such affordable devices will increase.

So, the market appears to be growing at both ends. Personally, I think that's a good thing.

BTW, it actually sucks that cigarettes are $1 where you are, as the switch to vaping then becomes an additional investment. For most of us ($10/pack where I'm from), vaping is actually cheaper (barring the hobby/collector factors).

The kanger products are actually more expensive in the long term, unless you coil your own, the replacement coils after a few months will easily cost as much as a Kayfun or similar. If you are going to coil it yourself then an RDA is easier than a protank

i have a kanger pt2 minis and pt3.. been rotating the head for almost 2 months.. when they get dirty.. i just soak it in water for a day or two.. rinse and dry burn then goes back in rotation..

Vaping here is a long term investment. I could buy me a new pair of leather shoes for the cost of that 40 buck tank PLUS shipping (around 20 bucks). Thing is, prices are rising, and not exactly are good quality things. I always hated eVods, house the heads on other tanks such as the Puritank (love it, never comes apart, and always makes good contact in EVERY mod I had except for the MVP 2.0). I've had Protank I leak all over my purse (the curved glass makes them leak, no matter how many times I glue them back on). And the 20 buck pricetag was already expensive.
The chase for a better vape has to stop somewhere. All of my PV I bought having good airflow in mind (eVic, Vamo V3, Innokin SVD and MVP V2.0, K100) so airflow is not an issue. But if you want a dual bottom coil, it's either the Innokin 30B (no pyrex) or one of those 40 buck beasts...
