As has already been said it is about the supply vs the demand. If more were made and distributed the cost of those that are priced into the stratosphere would come back down to earth. Being new here I still see the forum with the faith of a child. I am in awe. I have bought and sold close to 20 things in my 2 month infancy here.
I can say in most other cases the seller would be quite lucky to get 80 - 90% of what they paid for most other mods. There exception but almost none like the GG. It has a huge faithful fight to the death following of people who are not afraid to voice their opinion. This fills the forum with many GG posts and helps to create curiosity and increase demand.
Let's take gasoline prices (yeah please take them down!) if the US had other options and there was a plentiful supply prices would go back down.
Before I start a ruckus here increasing the supply would not decrease the price because they are so sought after and are offered at an extremely reasonable price to begin with...but it may stop the profiteers from gouging because they would then know that there is an abundant supply.
None of what I just said applies to legacy items or low numbered items, since in those cases there is a limited amount that cannot be changed...

Hey Paulie - we have at least 1.5 TRILLION barrels of oil sitting in Oil Shale Reserves. All the government has to do is get moving. Forget that though. We have the worlds largest amt of oil sitting beneath us. 5 times the stated reserves in Saudi Arabia
Yeah, people will say things to fit in or please the masses but when it comes down to the almighty buck...my how people's philosophy can change.

In recent months I've sold a GGTS nickel for £70 a GG slim for £60 with batts and charger and 2 brand new still sealed UFS mk2s for £180.
I think its ridiculas the prices that some of these items are being sold and it's taking advantage of the good name the GG familly has

well first off Keanu I mean Richard... it was a package deal.... Iatty cost me $165.00, Stainless Mouthpiece + $30.00, extra set of plastics +$20.00, 4 Spare Ceramic Cups + $20.00 + 4 dif styles of resistance wire, Silver NR Wire, Nextel XC-116 Kiln Treated, Fiberglass Wick & Stainless Steel Mesh so at least another $50.00 in supplies....bringing us to a total of $285.00 plus shipping, insurance and paypal fees for some items easily bringing my total spent to over $300.00...
Also please note that the cost of shipping and insurance and paypal fees were included in the sale price leaving me with about a $232.00 return on investment which is really what the entire package sold for.... and really if you do the math the iAtty sold for quite a bit less than I paid for it...
To make it simple if it cost me $285.00 and I sold it for $232.00 isnt that $53.00 less than I paid for all those things.... essentially meaning if I got 100% return on all the brand new parts and extras the stock iAtty sold for a whopping $112.00...
I know you have some beef with me and thats fine haters make me famous.... but maybe if you spent a lil more time looking at my for sale ad and did the math instead of trying to make me look bad because you have some lil thing for me I wouldn't of had to take the time to explain this...

I really hope you do feel good about yourself AgentSmith. I didn't put you on blast to hurt your self worth, just to try to point out that the GG users profiteering from other, less fortunate GG users, is an internal problem. And as for your breakdown of the numbers, which I have zero interest in analyzing or critiquing, it doesn't matter what you payed because if you're not willing to take a small financial loss in exchange for the pleasure that your iAtty provided you, then you're just exacerbating the problem.
It takes a person of true character and integrity to look past the fact that because they really wanted a GG product, they had the faith in Imeo's products to pay above retail for them, appreciate them while they had them, and then give others the same courtesy and respect that Imeo shows all of us, and resell them for what they retailed for. If someone is unable to sit with a menial loss in exchange for the enjoyment that they got out of Imeo's work up until deciding to pass it onto someone else, then I don't think you truly know what it means to be a member of the "GG Family". So AgentSmith, feel free to keep living in the Matrix, I'm not going to stop you. All that I ask is to do yourself the favor of taking the appropriate actions that'll truly make you happy, which to me means making sure that my word lines up with my actions at any cost necessary. You might be able to sell a retired and sought after ecig atomizer and break even or make a small profit, but you can't buy back your integrity. On a more self preserving note...I'm sorry for stirring the pot like I did and I'd like to know what I can do to make an amends to you for any disrespect I've demonstrated. Yeah yeah yeah blah blah blah... you dismiss the numbers because the numbers dont lie.... you used me and my sale as an example to make a point about selling GG items trying to show my sale as a negative... when I indeed took a $50.00 loss on product and dismissed my shipping charges, insurance and paypal costs which is fair.... now you come here with a half attempt to right yourself by blathering a bunch of useless babble and then insult me again by telling me I dont know what it is to be GG Family .... The NUMBERS dont lie, do the math and you will see the iAtty stock mode sold as part of that package set up for $112.00... It's a shame you can't see past the bullsht semantics and look at the big picture, you totally missed the entire point of my post. I didn't dismiss the numbers, I just chose to articulate my interpretation of there importance from a very different point of view. I don't appreciate being called a little boy or how you made the assumption that I think I know everything there is to know about ecigs, but my ego isn't fragile enough to feel the need to defend myself. I hope somebody who read my post got something out of it, even if it went right over your head.
