Yeah.. I just wouldn't. You can get a really nice setup for under 150 bucks.

Seconded.

$450 is way too much to spend on vaping equipment.

I'm on the Mod Envy group on facebook, and I see so many people showing off their mods, which they spent between $200-1000+ for, and they do absolutely NOTHING different than my $80 box mod (except they are mechs usually, so they don't even have any nifty features).

To each their own, but I never understood people who want to spend money just for the sake of spending money.

Now, if you have the money, and want to drop loads of it on something because it actually performs better, than I can at least UNDERSTAND that. However, a personal vaporizer isn't very complex, and you can get a superb one for under $100, that will function just as well, if not better, than the rest.

I wouldn't say it's spending money for the sake of spending money guys. I've been vaping for a long time and I have ONE... ONE MOD that's I've spent money on and the other was given to me! Two tanks were given to me and I bought the others. Seriously have spent maybe $200 in my two years of vaping. I've been saving for a long time to spend money on vaping stuff waiting for things in the market to settle out and see what's good and what's not, see what's gonna stick around and what's not. I haven't asked for the money patrol on how else I should spend my own money or what's to much to spend. I'm asking because I want opinions on what's best in the market right now and the best bang for my buck.

Adding to that, I would never spend $450 on a "setup" if I can get multiple set ups, awesome. I'm on a boat for 8 months out of the year, this is my hobby. I need things as a back up in case what I have now fails and I'm 300 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico. Not that any of the above should actually need to be explained lol but goodness.

I'm not saying don't spend money, but I wouldn't spend 450 in one place. I'd just get an ipv or something similar to that, an mvp 3 (cause they're literally indestructible), and a mechanical (just in case there's an emp lol) and a few sets of batteries and a good charger. That should have you covered for a while.

Now that's an entirely different question.

If I didn't have what I already have, I would buy a Provari, a REO Grand, an RM2, and a Taifun GT. Plus wick & wire, batteries & charger, DIY juice supplies, and whatever backups I felt I needed.

Saltlifeoutlaw- If it were me I'd save half for nic base, just in case. I'd just hold onto that half for as long as it takes to find out if nic base will be necessary, then if it does become necessary there will be no scrambling to scrape up cash to get some quickly. (I've actually got $200 set aside for this scenario)

I don't really understand the bottom feeder. Do most just take 15ml bottles? I mean how does that actually work?

Vaping⚓Sailor

Bottom fed is all the goodness of dripping without the hassle of dripping. Different mods have different on board bottle sizes. Come visit us in Reoville Reos Mods Very friendly folks that will be happy to explain all about squonking. (the term for mushing the bottle to get the juice up on deck and soaking the wick).

you can buy a watch for $79 but that doesn't mean there aren't watches that cost thousands

you can buy a car for $6k but that doesn't mean there aren't cars that cost 100k or more

you can buy a pair of shoes for $29 at walmart but that doesn't mean there aren't shoes that cost hundreds and more

you can eat dinner for $8 but that doesn't mean there aren't places that would cost you over $50....

you get what you pay for and sometimes the finer things in life cost more than the cheapest things in life, wanting something fine does not mean that everyone who buys something expensive does it just because they like to piss money away. just because you don't see the value in something doesn't mean anyone who does is wrong or wasteful.
