Hey everyone,

It's nice to find a place to talk with others who enjoy a nice vape! I've been using a Nemesis mod Clone, an authentic Fuhattan but I've been eye-balling the 4Nine for a bit. I stumbled upon this place trying to figure out if I could make my Aspire Atlantis work on it with the 510 threading.

The weird thing is that there are people who say it will vent, and that edits may be needed on the replacement coil or screwed in from a different angle etc etc. Has anyone tried using it? I prefer to keep my mods in a 18350 mode and would love to see this work out.

Any help or information would be appreciated!

Best Regards,

The latest information we have on a regular tank being used on a hybrid mod.

Anyways, Could blow up. So I would say not advisable.

My god! It looks like he was using a battery not meant for e-cigarettes. At the same time, I'm not looking to have my face blown off for something stupid like that. Guess I'll keep looking at other mods. Thanks for the article, I'm not sure why "4 nine mod + aspire atlantis" didn't have that show up on my Google search.

That pairing is not the best as it could be dangerous. The 4nine being a hybrid needs an atty with a protruding pin. The Atlantis has a flush or slightly recessed pin.

I've also noticed that the 510 connection on the Atlantis is very soft. When I first started using it the contact protruded out of the housing. After looking at it yesterday (possibly a month of use here and there) I can see that the contact is now sunk into the housing. I haven't used it on a mech and it has only been mounted on vv's with floating top pin (v4d, rdna vs, cloupor mini). I can see how that can be a problem with the hybrid top cap and battery connection lol. I haven't tried it but I can possibly tap the contact from the inside the base of the Atlantis but haven't bothered since I've been using my Orchids as of lately.

All in all I wouldn't use the Atlantis with a hybrid top cap.

Welcome to ECF tsngreen!

Just because something will screw onto a 510 hybrid top cap doesn't mean it's compatible with a hybrid.
There is nothing wrong with the concept of a hybrid .... it just shouldn't have 510 threading. That way hybrids would only work with devices made to be used on a hybrid.

Hell, I even have some cartos that would be an instant short on a hybrid.
