I made this one, which is indestructible and houses a 3.5 ml tank completely. Used a $2 conduit from Home Depot, Chrome button, and runs on 4AAA. Very ergonomically correct. And yeah....ugly. I use it when hunting.

I'd gladly pay 35 bucks for that. Even if it is "ugly". I'm a function over looks kinda guy.

I really like the thought of a rechargeable battery type box mod. I know I could build one cheap but I opted to hunt one down on here (my soldering skills aren't very good). A really nice guy sold my one for $15 with the rechargeable batteries and a charger, shipped. Some others offered theirs up for $20 and $25. The best part about them, to me, is that you can open them up and fix 'em if you need to. (Hopefully I won't 'cause, once again, my soldering skills suck.)

And if the FDA ever tries to take away e-cigs, screw 'em. I'll just build my own, make my juice, and buy my batteries from the local drug store.

That's the sole reason I started modding. I can do everything but extract nicotine. Which is doable, but I'm not at that point yet.

Vendors selling the fasttech type products is why I stick with the ECF and Wackedout co-ops and build my own coils at least you know if your getting quality products.
I've ordered from fasttech and kinda happy with their stuff but disappointed in the quality control of their atomizers. I have to tweak every addy I open up to stop the hotspots. Their k100 is a nice unit along with other mechanical mods they have, but I won't order a VV unit from them for I have almost no doubt they(vamo and such) are seconds.
I've ordered from several vendors when I was new to vaping and got bait and switched with the fasttech type crap at premium price but not no more...how sad it is that a bad vendor can turn a new vapor back to analogs with cheaply made products. Its all buyer beware and like the old saying."If its too good to be true then it probably isn't" goes strong in the vendors selling crap.
There are a few people in this little town who we turned into vapers and I see and hear their complaints about, leaking, burning taste, dead batteries and coils that burn out in a few days, problems that I don't have. I given them my homebuilt coils and now they are willing to pay me not to have to use those cheapchit stock coils and use mine.
Its all in how you want to vape...there are the people who just go with the flow and others who want to get the best possible vape quality possible and I feel sorry for those who just go with it and never see there can be much better out there.
Once you get a mod that uses the larger 18650 batteries you will never use those lousy ego type batteries again, I shelved all my ego's the same day I got those larger batteries.

Times have changed.

Hi skyztheLynnit,
Yes, you are correct, times have changed. Great Britain is no longer Great. America, well, 30 years of decline and the Fall is getting closer.
It's funny, human nature - when we work, we want paid the most we can get, but when we buy something the other guy is overpaid.

Crazy easy to make too. In fact, there was so much space, I really think you could make it without soldering. I could have made it shorter, but I added that extra do dad to shield the tank. There are smaller conduits that would allow you to make even smaller mods, but you'd have to use a single, shorter battery. Very doable.
