As part of the forum's anti-spam measures, new members are initially restricted to where and how they can post. This system is based off of your post count, and consists of three stages. Please note that it can take up to an hour for the forum software to update your account between each stage.

0 to 5 posts:
Members are restricted to posting in the New Members Forum only, can not use Private Messaging, and can not have a signature.

5 to 15 posts:
Members can post in other forums and use Private Messaging.

15 posts and above:
Members can post in all forums, and can now have a signature.

70 posts and above:
Members can no longer start new threads in the New Members Forum, but may post in threads started by others.

Please be aware that "spamming" useless posts for the sole purpose of raising your post count is not allowed, and may result in your posts being deleted.

You have to realize the New Members Forum is a HUGE target for Ecig scammers and all it takes is 10 minutes for them to trap a bunch of newbs....bad for ECF reputation and even worse for newbs getting ripped off. You also have to realize Mods monitor this forum on their own time without pay...why??? because they are passionate about the Vaping scene and only want the best for those just starting out.

I would just like to use the forum, is that meaningful enough? You're snobbery is quite off-putting :) if you require 5 meaningful posts should say so in sticky should it not? And who judges what's meaningfull? Is not meaning, like beauty in the eye of the beholder? One man's spam, another's deepest thoughts? :p. JK... much love

No offense taken and my post wasn't a criticism but just an explanation. I was just asked via pm if I wanted to get involved with ECF behind the scene and it's something I really have to think about as I know it's very time consuming. I spend lottsa time on this forum...it's all about the passion and you'll note the same with many other ECF members.
Cheers and the Best of Luck to you.

I understand, hence "JK"
I will attempt to be more meaningful forthwith. Thank you for your time :)

I apologise if my "snobbery" appeared to be off-putting :( However, I find it hard to believe that anyone would think posting "post #1" etc, is meaningful in any way whatsoever. As others have said, this is a huge, very busy forum & the rule is there to protect members from spam.

Is it really that difficult for anyone to truly join in with the community & either say hello, ask questions, or help other new members? And as Classwife confirms "Please be aware that "spamming" useless posts for the sole purpose of raising your post count is not allowed, and may result in your posts being deleted." And that was what I was trying to say, but didn't word it as well as Classwife :)

I apologize sincerely for my flippant attitude & voracious sarcasm, it was meant in good fun, I assure you. Given the chance to meet, you would surely have understood my 'joke,'this is the problem with the facelessness of the interwebs. As is, I am sorry for for any offense. I truly didn't wish to start any sort of flame war. There of course must be rules, and it was wrong of me to attempt to circumnavigate them in my hurry & excitement to get to meatier posts. I'm sure from here on out you'll find me a happy, friendly, active member. I'll try to limit my sarcastic side for lighter topics :)
XOXOXO
