I loved mine, too!! Ordered two back in June and they're both dead.......ugggh. Gonna reorder, but hate to due so soon,
Anyone know how to check these with a voltmeter....newbie with that, so need very specific instructions.

Thanks in advance!!! :vapor:

On all 510 connections, the center pin will be positive and the outer threading will be negative. So if you're using a multimeter, you're going to place the positive (red) wire on the center pin of your connection and your negative (black) wire on the side threading of your connection. DCv (dual current) will be the appropriate setting for the voltage you're testing. Once you hit the button on your battery, the reading should come out around 5v on your passthru. If thats what it reads at when tested, its likely that the center post on your connection might just be pushed down to far to hit the positive post on your carto/atty. it's been known to happen if you over tighten cartos/atties/adapters. It can be wiggled back into place with a paper clip or anything small enough to fit in there. Hope this helps :)

Jared, Thanks sooo much for your help. I will do my best to repair the ones I have.

Your input sure helps.....especially compared to the response I got from the vendor "not sure how to test them.. but we sell them dirt cheap.. so i think you got a good run out of them". That's great to know!!

Now to see if I can get the multimeter positioned right AND push the button. I wouldn't have a clue without you, Jared!!

Great people here!!! :vapor:

I ordered one on Wed, it shipped Thurs & was in FL delivered on Sat. Can't beat that for service.
A question, I plugged mine in & it seems to work fine but I cant tell any difference between it and my 3.7v Don. I was expecting a heaver hit I guess or at least a different hit. is this normal? could my usb not be giving enough power?
Any ideas?
thanks
Dave

Hey Dave,
Yes it's very possible your passthru just isn't receiving enough current. 5v 1amp USBs will work in a pinch, but to get a true 5v out of your passthru, you really need to plug into something rated at 5v and 2amps. ENS sells a car USB charger that's 2 amps specifically for use with the passthru. If you're looking for a wall unit, I've had luck finding 2amp stuff at bestbuy & walmart.
