Hello. Been off the stinkies since Feb 2011, and feel great btw.

I have several REO's and Provari's. I know, I know, I promise this is not a fan boy post, i just want to give some context.

My wife and I need a couple of very good VW tank mods that will only be used on the weekends. They need to be durable, but very good (both mod and tank). They are solely for boating and off roading, so the risk of damage or loss is great.

I would like to spend a total of $200 or less on two mods, including tanks. One for each of us.

We've been using the Kabuki P3 tanks as our daily vape, and are very happy with them. I really like the replaceable nauti heads. So keeping with the aspire replaceable would be a plus.

Thank you very much in advance for any insight.

And, anyone struggling with the cigs, please keep vaping! I was a 3+ pack a day kinda guy. IT WORKS!!!!

Maybe a silly question - but maybe you haven't noticed - why not get a couple ProVari 2.5's from the "Specials" page - they're $35.

I'm not "current" on tanks, and can't recommend - but if the v2.5 can fire your coils...

as far as cheap durability goes, I found these billet box style mods to be king.
Anlerr Pocket Rocket 40W VW Mod Kit
for 54 bucks and free shipping, I think its hard to go wrong. I do not own one but I want to get my dad one because he likes to drop stuff off roofs:facepalm:
heres a review I found

In my 5 years experience in vaping, there not much out there that's more durable than a Reo or Provari, and you already have those.

If you're looking for small, inexpensive, variable wattage mods... maybe consider an iStick or Pico and get a silicone sleeve for added durability? These are both pretty cheap (under $50) so if you lose or break one, not that big of a loss.

Google "silicone sleeve for .... mod" to find a supplier.

I also don't think you can find a more popular tank than the Nautilus tanks over the last couple of years. Once the FDA Deeming goes into final effect (and no changes made), the Nautilus coils should be one of the few coils that we can count on to always be available. (I'm counting on Aspire in submitting the necessary PMMT for FDA approval.)

All good answers, thank you. A "special" Provari for about $60, after adding P3 connection and extended battery cap would probably do the trick.

Point taken Baditude about durability, and I'm pretty sure this will be the route I take.

Now I just need to research some tanks with preferably a P3 connection and nauti coils. I really don't want to continue bringing our Kabukis'.

maybe take look at the Aspire Plato? It takes Nautilus coils (same as Kabuki), and the tank is complety covered, so should be able to take a hit. I have mine since launch and I love it, very pocketable and light, never leaks and decent battery life (I use it moslty in stealth mode), also very easy to operate and cheap.

Hiya TGT,

Loved your post, and I can relate to you as I started in Feb. of 2011, too!

I echo the vote for the Provi(s) (on special). I'm sure you know it doesn't get any more well-built than that!

For you tank question, and in staying with the Aspire Nauti coils, how about the caged tank for the Nautilus?

Aspire Nautilus Hollowed Out Steel Sleeve

If vliquid capacity is of issue (the caged tank holds only 3ml), you can also get the all metal sleeve for it, and that holds 5ml. :)

I would recommend a couple of blem Provari 2.5's and a couple of Triton Mini tanks. Triton Minis use Nauti coils and can be found for about $20. We have 2 Tritons and two Triton Minis and the minis are great tanks. The full size are huge and I wouldn't want to drop one. You know Provaris and how reliable they are, so no need to go there...

Personally, I stocked up on Provaris (12) and assorted clone and authentic mechs (18) and also have a few beaters (Mangled SX Mini, KBox 40, a couple of iSticks, etc.)

The Pico option is a good one as well as the $10-20 KBox 40's I see being blown out lately.
