I'm curious as to what would be a preferred e-liquid to vape in terms of VG versus PG content. I've been smoking what I believe to be nothing but 50/50 and it does the trick, but I'll be dropping my nic content to 6mg soon and when I make a new order would like to know whether or not I should be trying a juice with a higher VG content. I've heard the main differences are that PG can give you the sensation of a "throat hit" due to the feeling of irritation when inhaling. This doesn't bother me, but now that I've quit smoking cigarettes, I'm not really a fan of that feeling near as much. I prefer the taste of the liquid and the thickness of the smoking, especially on the exhale more than anything else and I've heard higher VG concentrations can offer this.

If I do decide to go to a higher VG concentration I've also read that I'll likely be running through coils faster. If this is true, how much faster will I be replacing coils and should I change from my current set up of a vspinner 2 with kangertech coils altering between 1.5 - 2.5 ohm coils?

50/50

The simplest eliquid is straight PG.

Straight VG is too thick and gives a heavy chest feeling.

Some people have a PG allergy, in which case they need to use more VG; if you have no problemo with PG, then I'd recommend aim more like 50/50 Pg/VG

alrighty, I think I'll stick with 50/50 considering it's been doing the job for the time being, thanks for the responses :)

your description of what you are looking for in your OP tells me you would like high VG. high PG is way too rough on my throat. the higher the VG the more i like it. order a flavor that you love in the highest VG they offer and see if you like it. if they offer extra flavor shots go for it with high VG. try it and post back. :vapor:

Yeah, this is what I'm planning on doing, want to at least give it a try, I'll grab both 50/50 and something higher in VG and see what the results yield. I am over the throat hit and would prefer to vape more clouds than feel more burn, I don't feel that I'm tasting much from what I'm vaping now anyway, it's more of a burn than it is a flavor at this time and that's not what I'm looking for. Even after changing coils, I don't feel I can taste much from the content, might have to switch atomizers as well, we'll see.

The other issue here is viscosity.
VG does produce more vapor - bigger clouds - but only if it's getting to the coil!! VG is MUCH thicker.
The OP is using Kanger coils on a Spinner? That means a ProTank or something similar, right?

Those will NOT wick well with Max VG. You CAN go higher than 50/50, but you still may have wicking issues.
Even at 50/50, I used to pull a strand (one single "thread") of the silica wick OUT of a Kanger stock coil, so it was a little looser, and would let more juice get to the coil. Otherwise it didn't "keep up" with my vaping.

Thanks for the info and yes, I'm using protanks I believe, small plastic, near disposable. I switched to many of them because the nautilus tank I was using with the dual coil mod wasn't lasting nearly as long as the kanger coils seemed to and at a much steeper price. I didn't feel that I was getting the bang for my buck out of that system. I am looking for something to upgrade the the protanks with but I'm not sure what yet.

Doubt your using protanks, as they are glass/pyrex not plastic nor disposable type perhaps kanger evods? The protank 3 is an excellent step up for your system, at a very reasonable price range, plus you will no doubt upgrade your battery one day and the protank 3 will handle most anything that runs Clearomizers.
