    I wish people would stop calling these "DNA" anything ... there's nothing DNA about this chip.

    It's become a generic term for these sorts of boards.

    When the SX350 first appeared, a lot of folks called it a DNA style chip and a clone. Nothing could be further from the truth as some of these new boards outperform the DNA's in a big way and are not in the least bit 'cloned'.

    Thinly veiled pro-SX agenda there ;) But in the process of pushing it, you made my point exactly. What does "these sorts of boards" mean? This should not be a generic term, because there's no basis for it.

    I guess Evolv was the first company to produce a dedicated modders board - same way Hoover was the first company in the UK to sell vacuum cleaners, vacuum cleaners are still referred to as 'hoovers' irrespective of manufacturer.

    I'd prefer 'modders boards' as a blanket term.
