Not all devices are equal. Most times most companies like joyetech that make the Evic, and Eleaf that make the iStick use proprietary boards. Each board outputs the voltage signal differently, ie the Pulse Width Modulation for instance can be tuned to Mean output or Root Mean Squared (RMS), with the later being more accurate. So one mod says it is doing 50watts, can say being doing 50watts for 1/2 a second between pulses would seem anemic compared to another that puts out 50watts for 1/4 a second between pulses of power.

The iStick 50watt is also in comparison an entry level Chevy model vehicle, where the Evic being pricier is one of two add on packages to the same model Chevy, thus it will perform a bit better.

Well done. I couldn't figure out how to say it without diagrams and equations ;-)

Real quick , why is it that with a full charged I stick 50 versus a evic- vt both set at 50 watts using the same tank that the evic blows the I stick out of the water. Shouldn't they both be pushing 50 watts

Is the evic vt in vw mode?

Different chips operate with different algorhythms; the output is basically a mix of ac and dc; the ac frequency could be different from one chip model to another; the cheaper chips use a lower frequency .

I'm sure a flat dc output chip could be made but I guess the downsides are going to be cost and efficiency.
