What is considered to be a high amount of vg to vape? I haven't run across anyone complaining about the vg causing these types of problems before. Not saying it can't cause these problems, I just don't know.

I don't think there is some kind of rule for "high amount" of either VG or PG. They're both classified by regulatory bodies worldwide as benign and used in just truckloads of consumer products including foods. And PG is used in medicine. It's in asthma inhalers and some injectable meds (yeah as in, injected right into your blood stream so they must think it's pretty safe eh?). Ironically enough, PG is used in vapor form to deliver meds into the lungs.

That said, people have allergies. Ordinary things most of us can eat and drink can cause some folks all kinds of trouble. It happens. And I would guess (I'm no doctor) VG would be one somebody might pop up with an allergy to. VG is short for "vegetable glycerin" after all. Derived from vegetable oil, it's plant based so most of us won't have a problem. But plants of one kind or another are often the source of allergens (he said, sneezing his head off... my family and pollen have never gotten along).

So I can see it happening. It's not that it's "too much VG" in general, it's too much for that person. We don't all have the exact same biology. Close but not assembly line exact. :)

And stuff like allergies are weird. Mine have shifted around over the years. Used to be ragweed would hit me like a flu (seriously, as a kid, I'd be in bed for some days sick as I could be). Now I never notice it. Mold spores though? Oh. My. Gawd. And they don't have a "season". They can happen any time. Yay!

Then there was the time I suddenly started having "the runs" (in the sense of the word I actually had to run to the bathroom), bad gas and cramps. Took me almost a month to figure out I had become lactose intolerant.

I thought that was something you were or you weren't. I was wrong. Apparently, it's not at all unusual to become lactose intolerant as an adult.

Biology. It's weird.

(Edit afterthought... funny thing, when the pollen count is high, I often sneeze in the mornings if I exhale vapor through my nose. I may, myself, have a mild allergy going with PG or VG. But it's hard to tell and very trivial. It's always during high pollen count days and only first thing in the mornings. And not every time. Just enough to make me wonder.)

There's lots that can wrong with the human digestive system, and better to be safe than sorry. Don't wait untill you have to take on IV fluids ect. ect. good luck and I hope you start feeling better soon :)

going to the doctor is always the right option if the condition is intense or prolonged, but I've also had some tummy discomfort at times, since i started vaping 3 months ago.
initially i thought it was a reaction to pg or vg, but I've now narrowed it to 3 factors. each person is different and vaping is not a consistent activity. things change from coil to coil and juice to juice and person to person. factors like stress and fiber intake and health conditions, can be the cause, but, as for vaping:
1) water. we simply don't get enough water. i didn't get enough water before vaping and i sure don't get enough now. dehydration can affect the output or your tummy (google it).
2) nicotine. amount of nicotine can vary wildly with coil setup, device, juice. too much nicotine will affect the output of your tummy (google it). vaping, specially until you find your stride, can involve large swings on nicotine intake.
3) flavors. some flavors immediately have an effect on me. normally the overly sweet or fancy dessert flavors. i've narrowed it to the artificial sweeteners, and some juices do have them, and to fancy sweet complex flavors. interestingly i never had this from the top notch juice producers, ahlusion, 5 pawns, etc. same as smokers, a percentage of the vapor does take a detour and goes to the stomach instead of the lungs.

some people are more sensitive to this than other, thus not a problem to the majority, and it is hard to find a discussion on this issue here (or anywhere). the above is my experience. one of the reasons i feel that vaping and juices production could use a bit more scrutiny (without the current FDA witch hunt approach).

since I increased the water intake, reduced the nicotine rate, and took to (using just a few) simple juices from top vendors, I've been problem free. except for stress. gotta find me a palliative for the wife/kids/taxes/work conundrum.

THIS. On a disposable atomizer blister pack, the amount of nicotine that coil 1 can give may vary quite drastically to the other 4 coils or visa v. An example of this in an extreme case is switching from a regular rebuildable coil to a micro coil with the same juice, you are now delivering A LOT more nic. Ask me how I know... Ugh man I was sick. And had to poop..

I agree. This was a common symptom when I would try to quit smoking without vaping.

That's something I think new vapers miss. I know the FDA says nobody can say this but they can stuff it, I'm a gonna say it. When you switch to vaping, you damn well are quitting smoking. You're switching to something that has only one thing in common with smoking: the nicotine. You're dumping the other 4,000+ chemicals you were putting into your blood stream all day long.

So some of the "symptoms" or "side effects" (or however you wanna style it) of quitting are likely to happen. So it's not necessarily something happened "because of vaping" but because you stopped taking in who knows how much of whatever combination of chemicals other than the nic that you get while smoking.
