This beats me. I've used the sealed one with three different fusions from different boxes on the twist 650, all worked fine, and just checked the unsealed avid stealth on one carto, it, too, was good.

On my stealths the carto is not cranked down super tight, but it isn't at all loose. I see maybe 1mm total gap, from carto flange to the adapter flange, can partially see the air inlet holes below the 801 threading.

Just tried that. It just seems like the inside of the 801 side of the adapter is too higher. There's no space for the pin on the 801 Fusion to be pushed into to. There's like not enough thread to screw on to the Fusion.

Hmm, perhaps that's why Isaac said you can't use the stealth adapter with the Fusion carto?

    I dunno. I'm stumped.

    Thanks for trying.

Have you tried putting lube on the threads? Just a small dab'll do. Even some VG.

I think I would try the ones from Avid because as you say, Isaac posted they don't work on Fusions. That's the reason I started using 808 threaded PV's. Them damn 510 threaded pvs have too many problems with different manufacturers products. I still have a few I have to use but when given the choice it's 808/901 for me.

The problem is the center is touching first when it's threaded on making it impossible for the threads to reach each other to start threading.
    Really like your avatar.

Yes, I also find myself admiring it,lol. It's nicer enlarged. I've been reading Clive Cussler action books, and it put me an oceanic state of mind.

Ah, that's not large enough. If it 's blown up more than this, you can really see the detail in the wood and sails.

Yes! This seems to be the problem. The center of the adapter is touching, so the threads are not able to grab.

I have the sealed adapter on the lower right and the fusion carto on the right.

What could I possibly be missing or doing wrong?

    Thanks.
