I just got a 510 to 901 adapter for my silver bullet so I can use my 808 cartos with it. I screw the adapter into the SB, the carto into the adapter (which leaves a little gap) and nothing

I push the button and hear no sizzle and theres no vapor produced. anyone know what could be wrong with it? How can I tell where the problem lies? SB works fine with 510 cartos and my 808 cartos work fine with their own battery

Im guessing it was just because the adapter wasn't making contact with either the SB or the 808 carto, but I can't really screw them in any tighter (I ended up screwing the 808 into it so tight that I needed pliers to get it off)

ok before you go any further check your adapter again... make sure the center post isn't pushing past the silicone ring.. also check if the center post is flush or slightly past the top of the outer part of the adapter

second screw in the adapter snug not tremendously tight

that goes for the carto as well

if you are having issues try pulling prying out the center post of the carto just a little bit

this should give you enough contact for it to work

wait..silicone ring? none of the connection ends my SB, 808 carto or adapter have silicone rings anywhere to be found :s is that normal? never used an adapter before

by center post I assume you mean the round part of the adapter that would actually make the connection?
well on the adapter, the 510 side is flush with the outer edge
however on the 901 side it is almost 2mm lower than the outer edge. could this be the problem? too low to make contact with my 808s?

actually its underneath that center post.. it keeps it from making contact with the outer portion

your adapter seems ok.. the 901 end can be recessed a bit... try moving out the center pin of the cartomizer a bit... the round part (with the hole in the center) that would make contact with the center of the adapter...

evenly pry it with a small screwdriver.. finder nail or something of that nature... pry gently/evenly until it moves out a tiny tiny tiny bit.

no problem.. that's what I am here for :D

well you shouldn't need to pull them out too much... but it is possible for you to pull it out all the way(which is bad)

that pin is where one end of the coil is soldered to..... one thing for sure DO NOT twist it... some people mistake that slot on kr8 cartomizers as a place for a flathead screwdriver IT IS NOT....

also if you it is out TOO much it could start to leak, but unlikely

now as far as the adapter you COULD unscrew that out a bit.. but it really isn't advised for the novice since you can mess the adapter up.. and cause problems with your pv (if you don't know what you are doing)

Off topic:

Just an observation: I could be wrong... but I notice that you are 'nesting' here on your thread... meaning you might be staying here so you don't loose your thread... (alot of new forum members do that)

You can go to the top of this thread and select "Thread tools" and subscribe to the thread... then every time you click on 'Settings" on top/right of page the thread will be listed everytime a new post is posted....

there is also a way to do that automatically everytime you make a post... and that is in your main settings

If you knew that .. I apologize for the assumption :)
