Just found a way to take an atty (dead) apart for a 510, so thought I would throw it here.

Tools needed

-slip joint pliers (or any pliers designed to grab nuts/bolts, and small enough to be tight on the atty)
-Pilot G-2 pen (dead preferably)
-razor or file

unscrew the bottom of the pen (part opposite the clicky-thingy), and remove the rubber grip. Shave or file the lip that remains between where the grip was, and the threads.

CAREFULLY use the pliers and squeeze around the atty, right below the brass lip from the battery end. Not too hard (don't crush/deform things), but just enough to break up the glue, and loosen things up.

Push the open end of the modified pen into the cart end of the atty, and push.

Would do pictures, but I don't have a camera.
