Hey guys. I've been a long-time lurker in the modders forums, and must say, y'all come up with some AMAZING stuff.
So I'm really interested in re-building some of the boatload of burnt out 510 atties I have, for use on my VV Bottom Feeder. I really like the solderless re-build that was posted in this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/atomizer-mods/242373-vid-atomiser-rebuilding.html
Obviously, I don't have much interest in the tank part, though I think it looks pretty interesting. What I'm curious about is using a SS wick, instead of the silca, and if a bridge of some sort is necessary or desirable in a BF atty. Also, would I need to have anything to hold a small amount of juice inside the atty, maybe a Bonut, or possibly a small amount of fine SS wool.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

poland, and the brassy lands of google
If you can get the power posts figured out in a 510 atty shell, it would be slick to have a vertical SS wick set directly center in the positive connector, just above the needle. You'd have to isolate the bottom of the wick from the positive, say with a short length of heatshrink tubing, and juice would come up the center of the wick and excess could pool in the lower part of the atty. Too much pressure and it would squirt right through the atty though. Done right you'd have a very compact BFG.

Speaking of a vertical coil, I've been studying the pics that Meatsneakers put up in http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/atomizer-mods/237114-smallest-repairable-atomizer-6.html

As I was reviewing the pics, I was thinking that I could make one of the needles a little bit longer, and extend the wick down toward the center post, but not touching. With a bit of silica or something else around the base of the wick to hold a small amount of juice in contact with it, it seems that it might work well in a BF mod.
I'm not sure when I'll be able to get the materials or the time to try it, but when/if I do, I'll be sure to take pics, and report back.
