Yes - auto batteries suck that way. Buy Manual Batteries. Most people here use and recommend manual batteries. You can try shaking it down like a thermometer to try to fling out the juice. You can try the rice thing above. The best solution is not to buy auto batteries.

The 510 manuals are great - totally sealed metal on the threaded end. You leak juice there, you just wipe it up. manuals also make it easier to get a good hit, and won't turn on accidentally from wind or vibration.

I recommend real Joye brand manuals so you don't get stuck with a flimsy clone, a stupid clone with a short safety cutoff, or that abomination FS510 which is reverse polarity from all normal 510's and will fry in a real 510 charger and vice versa. of course if you HAVE FS510 then you will need to get a normal 510 charging cable if you get real 510's like Joye. Ditto if you have 510-T batteries - their charger cannot be used with normal 510 batteries, only with 510-T batteries (but 510-T batteries can be charged in normal 510 charging cables).
