Hello everyone. I'm a newb to vaping and the forums. I have a question. I bought the Joye 510-T starter kit which came with automatic batts (ugh). I just got in my 3 manual batts I ordered as an after thought. When I plug in my auto batts, the blue LED comes on and goes out when charged. When I go to charge the manual batts, nothing comes on or gives any indication that it's charging. This is my first time with manual batteries so forgive my ignorance. I assumed that the autos lit up because that's the way they "came on" when screwed into the charger. I have no clue about the manual ones. I tried reading the forums, and only found criteria about first time charging (hours wise), but nothing about this topic. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm on my last battery and panic has set in!!!

Yes, both were ordered from the same place/company. I have one on the charger right now and I've tried all 3 but no lights (except the actual red charger light) I thought maybe the blue LED would come ON after fully charged rather than go out like the autos? Surely all 3 can't be bad, and they are all doing the same thing. I wrote the company, waiting on response. As I said though, I'm on my last batt...LOL

When I put mine on the charger, the led flashes about 3x and goes out and when the battery is charged, the light on the charger goes from red to green. I just put my auto on the charger to see what happens when it's charged to see if the led flashes again (I don't think so). I think the charger light just turns green.

Have you ever been able to use the battery at all?

I think they take a couple hours to charge- maybe less. Hopefully the light will turn green, it should. Sometimes the button gets pushed down on the battery and it doesn't make a connection with the charger. If that's the case, you could very carefully get a tiny screwdriver and very lightly pull up the center pin on the battery. Just a tiny bit or you could damage the battery. But I'd wait a bit and see- your battery might be charging.

Some might be different according to when you buy them also. I bought Riva 510 starter kit in July and on those batteries the blue button flashes then stay on during the charge. I then bought another starter kit as a backup and those button lights flash then go off and you only know they are finished charging when the charger light goes green.

Also, when I plug the battery into the wall the blue LED blinks 3 times then goes out...on all 3 batteries.

That sounds like exactly what it should be doing. The light comes on when tbey are charged. The 3 flashes that happen when plugged in tell you that they are charging.

Wow, just got this from the supplier.

Yes, there is a difference with charger. The charger does not charge the manual batteries correctly. They are the same voltage and the same mAh, however, the auto battery is not sealed and the manual is sealed. This is the only difference between the two batteries.

    Thanks,
    Gina

Soooo, I guess I have to buy a charger now....highly upset. I bought these because they were the same mAH and had the same ends. Of course she didn't offer what charger DID charge them....frustrated. =/

Joye 510-T auto battery charging cables can KILL normal 510 and Ego batteries. Yes - 2 people have actually killed Egos with them. Never ever use the 510-T cable on anything but 510-T batteries. One girl killed EIGHT 510 batteries before asking.

Label the 510-T charging cable and never put anything else in it except 510-T auto batteries.

It has nothing to do with auto and manual - a normal 510 charging cable can charge both normal 510 autos and normal 510 manuals. The problem is only with 510-T autos and their 510-T auto charging cable and that charger is ONLY to be used with the 510-T auto batteries. I would label the 510-T charging cable on both sides where you screw in the battery so you never put any batteries in it other than the 510-T autos.
