510 cap swallowing

Hello good people- I have had the misfortune to have swallowed the end caps on 510 round carts three times now with a couple of near misses which can be very dramatic esp in public!
I was wondering if its just me, or if its normal and no body mentions it?
I expect to be slagged off about this
i'm being real careful now

I haven't swallowed one. But, I did have one come off in my mouth. I was holding the 510 with my teeth. Guess I put a bit too much pressure on it.

You can get them back..............But I would not suggest it!! LOL

Oh no! You must be a hard sucker! lol I went to refill my whistle-tip the other day and noticed the cap was gone. No idea what happened to it, but wondered if I swallowed it. I read another thread where this happened and they were quite upset at the fact someone was going to get hurt and there could be a lawsuit - not good for the industry!

I have never had one pop off in my mouth but I HAVE had them pop off randomly when taking cart off. I think its the pressure put on them... Im sure it wouldnt hurt to maybe dab some superglue on em since they dont get heated up and you only need it to protect juice from getting in ur mouth....Ive switched to dripping and found the SuperT TTip to be the ultimate-no more carts, filler or anything. Just a brass/stainless stell tip that I can drip into directly and the same one fits on 510, 901 and cartos! Hope you dont go after those tips after u swallow them Good luck

I have bitten mine off several times, but not swallowed yet. Happens a lot with the round ones. I also heard of people using a lighter to melt together cart and cap.

Smart!! I woldn't use my fingers to dig thru and find them!!

If you like to hold your 510 in your teeth, maybe try using 901 cartridges. They reportedly fit perfectly, and they don't appear the have an endcap that can come off. I've been meaning to try these myself for clamping down, especially while driving.

I tried those, my better half uses a 901 cart, but I found the different plastic too hard for my old teeth and 'sticky'
and the rotten ends came off those too! but smaller and easier to digest lol

problem with using a lighter or superglue to bond/fuse the cap is that pesky internal chamber that traps juice..take the endcap off first..remove the second one inside..and then replace the cap and fuse by running a lighter quickly around the edge..juice doesnt get trapped anymore so it can drain back down into the atty..
