Okay so here's the deal. I had an old Pyrex tank I used a while back on a lava tube before the mod broke. It takes a 510 Carto threaded for ego style batteries (but it would work on the tube no problem).
My Kanger Evod recently broke on me so I went down to the vape shop and they kicked me a 510 Carto for my Pyrex tank to use on my battery until I can pick up a Kanger Protank. (I use an ego twist, the 650 mah I believe)
On my old Evod I used 1.8 ohm single coil cartos, and I could vape at around 3.8-4.0v with a great throat hit and good vapor production. Flavor was there too. I asked the gentleman if the 510 Carto he kicked me for free was a 1.8 ohm as well, since I was used to that, and he said either a 1.5 or 1.8 ohm.
After getting home and filling my tank I start vaping at around 3.5v to find the sweet spot again, but I'm noticing I'm barely getting any vapor. I've properly filled the Carto and I did everything else correctly.
So I start ramping it up on the voltage and I don't see significant vapor production until I get all the way up to 4.6v! I'm using Root Beer Barrel by Rippin Vapors and even on 4.6v I can taste it perfectly fine, no burnt or dry tasting hits, throat hit isn't over the top it's actually quite good.
So does this mean I was misinformed and my Carto could actually be let's say like a 2.5 or maybe even 3 ohm? I just want to know to make sure.. Like I said no burnt taste and I can still taste the root beer. Also I know a fully charged twist can get (estimate) maybe around 6 hrs of vaping.. But I'm afraid my battery is gonna die out super quick if I keep vaping on the 4.6v. Anyone know battery life on the higher end volts while using a twist?
Thanks in advance.
