So I am a cheap guy, figured I would start on that note. I buy atties, atties ALWAYS die, maybe in 2 days maybe in 3 months but they always do; atties are also stupidly expensive imo. I was wondering if it would be safe to take all the cotton out of dead a 510 carto, screw it on, and drip away; this way I dont need to blow 20-30 dollars on a pack of 3 atties every month.

I am not looking for links to cheap attie websites here, mainly just wondering if this carto thing would work. If it does let me know how to do it safely.

thanks ahead of time!

Get a pack of Smokymizers and figure out how you want to get a few drops in it at a time. Or..just pull the tank off, de-wick if you prefer and put in a dead 510(not sure it fits but sure looks like it will). I'm waiting for a 510 to die so I can pull the atty out and put a Smoky in it, wick and all. Bet you can get more then a few drops at a time with the wick around the outside of the pipe. I have two I drip in their original tanks. One tank I left as is, the other I cut the top off and drip down the side. Basically $2 an atty to drip.

Looks like it will fit in Boge carto too but I've seen videos of removing the wadding and dripping in those.
