I recently got back into vaping and started using a 510. I wanted to get something that uses cartomizers since the atomizers from my old 401 seemed to die too often.

I bought some of these - smok Tech 3.2 ohm 510 Cartomizers.

I bought a smok Tech 5 Volt 510 Manual USB Passthrough to use with it. When I use a fresh cartomizer it makes a slight popping sound and vapes like crazy. After 2-3 of days it starts to dud out and I have to take long drags to get a halfway decent hit (I've of course made sure there's the right amount of liquid in the cartomizer).

A few days seems really short. Did I just get a bad batch, is the 3.2 ohm carts the wrong ones to use with a 5 volt passthrough, or is that just typical for cartomizers?

The only cartomizer I have tried over 3 ohms was an 808..I didn't know it was such a high ohm and didn't like it. I have only tried them on 3.7 volt though. Seemed like I had to take a super long hit off it to get nothing in return. Using 5 volt you may want to try a 2.5 ohm cart on it. Using a LR currently on a 3.7 volt it good for me. The 2.5 are good for a day or so then I have the same result as you are getting.
