510 Cartomizers

My wife is using a 510 with an atomizer and cartridge right now. She wants to switch to cartomizers so she doesn't have to drop so often when it is inconvenient to do so. What cartomizer would work best with a standard 510 battery? What amount of ohms rating is best for a standard 510 battery? I'm new to all of this and am using an ego mega myself (which I love), but I'm pretty clueless when it comes to voltage and ohms. I know this has probably been asked a thousand times and I appologise for asking again but I can't find a post to answer this question. I know it's got to be here but I want to get this fixed for her and I just can't seem to find it. If anyone could give me a link to the answer or just the answer I would be very grateful. Thank you. Ohh, we are both 2 weeks cigarette free today, thank goodness. These devises have made our lives so much better already.

Hey there I'm new to all of this too. I've tried boge and smok tek cartomizers, and I like em. Just try a few different ones until she finds one she likes. Hi Lexingtonff, I too am using a 510 T tank system with atty, I would like to use cartomizers when I am out an about when you find the answer would you post it here please, I have looked at the link and could see you were there at the same time. Unfortunately I am not at all technical and that didn't help me one bit, a simple answer of which cartomizer to order would really help me out.

You want Boge SR cartos.
Like these, almost any vendor will have them.

Do not use LR cartos on that small a battery! (below 2.5 ohm)

If you are using a 510 battery, you should use a single coil cartomizer between 2.0-3.2 ohms. (or check out what the person above me posted)

What we really need to know is what voltage your device vapes at.

If you are using a standard 3.7 volt device then single coil cartos are going to the best approach, if you are rocking voltage with a 510 mod, you may want to look into a tank system like the liquinator or DCT tank so you can have an "all day" vape with occasional refills. My "work" vape currently a lavatube with DCT 5ML tank, out and about I am using 3.7 volt infernos (EGO) with single coil SR carts, which still give you lots of battery life and great vapor production

- 150 mAh
- 3.3v Output
- 2.6 Inches Long
- 0.4 Inches Diameter

Will the cartomizers on above link work with this and also on that website it says great for "condom" refill method????

yes it will work, but you might want the black, mot the stainless. (covered with a sticky vs exposed metal. exposed is for tanks or eGo cones sometimes.)

"condom" = the rubber tip covering that comes on a carto. it really is not a great way to fill a carto. you can google this on you tube.

It is suggested that Low Resistance cartos only be used on batteries larger than 450mAh, but they will work on bats as small as 300mAh. Your 150Mah bat simple can't provide the amperage necessary for LR's. So your two logical choices for that small bat are the Boge SR (3ohm) that I listed above, or the SmokTech 2.5ohm carto.

Oh and, a carto really doesn't care how you fill it, as long as you get it full. You can use the condom (push) method, a syringe, or simple drip into it. The Boge holds about 20 drops.

Thank you all very much for the info. I'm going to order her some Boge 510 carto's at 3.2ohms. I will let you all know how that works out. I wish she would use something different but she likes the little cigarette feel of the 510 which is understandable. I think once she has been off the analogs for a while she will feel more comfortable changing to something a little larger with more battery life and fluid capacity. I'm still kind of lost on the voltage, wattage, and ohm stuff, but I'll read more and pick it up. Thanks again for the good advise.

Thanks for all those responses, I'm finally seeing what I need, I still don't understand though. I will just order the ABOVE and keep on socking on my DRIP TIP. thingy. Will all the Ego Type batteries some of mine are fat some skinny some a tad shorter than others. And will my standard ego DRIP TIP fit these cartos. Again THANKS for THE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, the Boge 510 3.2v cartomizers came in the mail super fast from Madvapes. They were easy to fill, held right at 20 drops of fluid and perform great. I filled a couple with Alien Visions Hype, a couple with a chocolate banana that I'm diy'ing, and one with Boba's Bounty that I thinned out with a few drops of vodka. They performed great on the standard 510 batteries. And did even better when I attached one to an Ego 900mah battery. The wife really likes not having to drip so often now and the convenience of switching flavors without blending them is great. So, we really like the 510 Boge carto's.
