Is there a difference? It seems like the great majority of people on this board use a 510. It also seems like a lot of those people are trying out 510 cartomizers and liking them. But I've always read the 510 had bad battery life compared to the 808.

I'm pretty invested in the KR808D-1 myself with several batteries, cartos, chargers, cases, passthrough etc. So I was wondering if there is any benefit to getting a 510 adapter for my 808 batteries so that I can use 510 cartos on them?

Is it better flavor or vapor production or anything like that or is there no benefit at all?

Also would I still get the kind of battery life I get with my 808 cartos on 808 batteries if I were to use an adapter with 510 cartos?

Roxics, I am not even sure how to answer because there are so many different opinions on all of this. I started with KR808D-1 batteries and cartos, and it was good. But for me, the cartos did not produce as much vapor as I wanted, and had a slightly off taste depending on what flavor I vaped. I called it a "dry" or "dusty" taste. So I tried 510 atty/carts with an adapter. Now, I've switched to 510 gear completely, but....not the 510 standard batts. They really don't last long before recharging. There are 510 mega batts with the same mah as the Kr808D-1s. But even better is the eGo/Riva/Tornado with 650 to 750 mah and even higher. Those last me all day.

But back to cartos. I was so pleased with 510 atties that for a long time I would not even try a 510 carto, because of my feelings about KR8* cartos. Then, I tried them. Didn't like them either. Then I tried genuine Joyetech 510 cartos. Whoo! Much, much better vapor and taste, than even the SLB (brass thread) or Boge (silver thread) 510 cartos. The downside - they are horrible to fill, requiring a syringe or very fine tipped pipette, and the removal of two disks at the mouthpiece. But to me - the taste, vapor and th are great. No word yet on their longevity.

Anyway, yes you can get an adapter for your KR8* batts to 510 atty/carts. But would it be worth it to you? Very hard to say. It was for me. But everyone's, and I do mean *everyone's* experience/preference is different. Some hate atty/carts. Some love Boge 510 cartos. Some....etc., etc., etc.. Well, you get the idea. But for me, I prefer 510 atty/carts or genuine Joye 510 cartos.

Awesome! Thank you for the advice. You were very thorough. :)

Based on your advice I think I'm just curious enough to buy an adapter and some of those joyetech cartos and maybe and atty and cart(or drip tip) to try it for myself. If I like it maybe I'll pick up one of those eGo batts. I've heard people mention those batteries but didn't really know what they were.

Now that I've bought some American made juice I'd like to see the difference in flavor between the Kr8 and 510.
