Hi everyone,
I have been using 510 cartos for a few months now and was looking at the kr-808d kits. Are the kr-808d cartos better? Is it a better unit, worth giving a try or should I stick to the 510 cartos? Are parts as redily available for the kr-808d's? Is the pcc good?
Sorry for all the questions, just wanting to try something new and I really like the ease of cartos! Seems that the kr-808d has a ton of pre-filled flavors!

Thanks in advance!!

I'm not a big fan of prefilled cartomizer regardless of the model. I prefer the 510 atomizer because of the low ohms - better wattage on the right battery but that's a personal preference based on the fact that the stronger flavors hold up well under higher wattage. So when I'm using cartomizers they are blank - filled with my favorite ejuice and they have ohm ratings that are low (1.7-2.4Ω) for more vapor. If you can afford experimenting then getting a 510 to KR8 adapter and trying out KR8 cartomizers is one way to go. I did that when 510 cartomizers weren't available but when they became available I returned to the 510 line, esp. with the advent of the eGo batteries which give you many more hours in between recharges. I also like the eGo cartomizers which have more capacity than any other cartomizer and last me as long as 4 hours without refill. Combined with the 6 hour battery, that's a lot vaping time.

If you do want to use prefilled cartomizers (and they certainly are convenient), there is a larger selection of Kr8 cartos. And I prefer the Kr8 PCC to the 510 PCC, although both are quite functional. I think Vapor4Life's Premium line is quite good in vapor production (definitely more than the older style cartos) and the WOW Vapor line (same cartomizers, better e-liquid) is supposed to taste pretty good, although I've not tried those. However, these Kr8 cartos don't have the huge capacity of the large eGO cartos.

The standard Kr8 battery is higher mAh (280 vs. 180) and voltage (3.7 vs. 3.4) than the basic 510 battery ... and CigEasy's Elegant is essentially the same as the Riva (in a sense, a 750 mAh eGO), but with fitting for the Kr8 and 901 and a cone designed for cartos.

It depends on what is most important to you. As I write here, the Kr8 and the 510-based "Fat Batts" (i.e., eGO/Riva/Hello 016/etc.) are the two models I recommend for first-time vapers. Either is a good choice.

Since you are not a first-time user and already have a foot in the 510 world, there is no pressing reason to switch over ... unless a large selection of prefilled cartos is important.
