hello all i have been searching on how to make a 510 atty connector i have made one for the vapor4life cartos and have seen a youtube on how to make a 901 connector but or 801 0r both but im have neither... but both are cheap raidoshack parts that connect fairly easy to the atty or catro so i was wondering if any one has found a similar solution to the 510 atty/carto? thank you and vapor on

ps: im a newbi and i tried a search but to no avail any help would be great thankyou DLR

One of the easiest ways I've done it is to go ahead and use the 901 connector you can build from Radio Shack parts and then use a 510 to 901 adapter. It only adds about a half an inch extra height to your atomizer. The only thing you cannot do is bottom feed with the adapter but other than that, it makes it easy.

Here is the one I ordered and used.

This arrangement worked out really well for me. Your milage may vary.

i like the 901-510 converter idea on a puck but only using 3 AA or AAAs for the lower powered 510 will get to work as soon as cash flow is back

I have a Puck in the works, almost built with 3 AA NiMh because 4 AAAs were to much for the 510 2.2 ohm atomizer I ordered to test with and the AAAs only lasted for 12 hours. AAs should last longer.

Can't wait to see what you come up with. Most of my designs are around the 910 atty because I really like it. There's not much difference between the 510 and 901 as far as juice capacity and vapor production but everyone seems to be stuck on the 510 so I'm adapting the 510 to my 901 jacks just to keep things even :)

The thing is... with the adapter, it costs about $3.95 from strictlyejuice... a buck or more than the connector itself from other places and worst case, you can remove the connector from the adapter if you really want to. I think it is just easier to just use the adapter because I like having the soldering lugs on the DC power jack we use for the 901.

Anyway, there are options :)

I tried my test Joye 510 (2.2 ohms) atomizer on 3AAs NiMh using the adapter last night but I really don't think i like it. Not enough vapor for me. I'm coming to a conclusion that low resistance 510 atomizers don't work well on NiMh battery configurations.

The 901 atomzer which is 3 to 3.2 ohms rocks on them. Tons of vapor and the batteries last over 24 hours.

I used the Joye 510 on 4 AAA NiMh (the Puck) and it works fairly well but just very hot vapor, less flavor andthe batteries only lasted about 12 hours on the Puck.

If there is a higher resistance 510 atomizer, I might give that a whirl to see how it does on 3 AA NiMh batteries or even on the Puck.
