510 disposable battery -> USB chargable mod?

Is this a stupid idea?

So, it seems that in the disposable 510 kits, the charging circuitry is built into the battery rather than the charger. Is there any chance that circuit could be cannibalized for use in a box mod, say to charge a 10440 or 14500, via a USB cable? It's probably way beyond my skill level anyway, but the circuit in there has to be tiny and easy to fit into a mod.

Actually a pretty good idea but I wonder if it's part of the mic switch with all the associated other stuff. Check out this one though, fits in an AA slot quite easily: 510 USB Charger, No cable. I'm going to give one of these a go and see if I can't get it to work to charge a 14500. I've got a couple doa disposable batts that I'll pull one apart and take pictures of it also..

That's the same basic charger that I used when I made the charger base for the "Super TorneGo II". Ended up working out pretty well.
