510 ego button sticking

I read somewhere about this problem, but never saw a fix. I began having this problem and after watching my ego burn uncontrollably a few times I messed with the button and realized if it gets turned a little it will start doing this. To fix just look at the button. There are 2 sides that stick up a little more from the center of the button. Looking at the cig in your mouth, those sides need to be even on the left and right sides. If it is slightly skewed it will get stuck. To fix just twist it back into position. Anyways, great battery life from this unit

Hi drooks,
The problem of the button sticking is really an easy one as all you have to do is to push the button on and let it go off about 10 to 20 times.. Do this slowly.. The reason it does this is due to a bit of a burr inside the button and this will work itself out, just have to do as I told you.. Mine was sticking (on one I bought seperate from my kit) and just kept pressing the button.
It is @ times the way you push the button.. Sometimes I see myself pushing on the side or an angle but always wiggle it and comes back up.. (off position)
If by chance it does get stuck in the on position and you can return it if you don't feel safe about it. Just an FYI..

Great info stubear62. I'm sure there are different causes to the same problem. Glad to see you 'old timers' helping us that are still wet behind the ears!
