Okay... I've been thinking about this lately. What a biatch it is to have to swap out batteries in the PCC while I'm driving with my 510. What a biatch it also is to have to add drops of liquid while I'm driving. So, I'm thinking about getting a 510 compatible ego/vgo/riva/tornado/inferno/whatever else this thing is called battery. i don't want a whole kit unless it's really not worth it to buy a battery. So... What is the least I can possibly pay for one of these(within the US), and where should I get it? Also, to alleviate the dripping while driving problem, I'd like to get a pack of 510 cartos from the same place to give them a try. I figure I could leave the carto/bigass battery in the car. That way I'm not fumbling with the PCC or trying to drip while driving. I can do it, but it's definitely not a good idea... So what's the best place to get both of these in terms of reliability(vendor and product) and price? Totally wicked has tornado batteries for like $20. That seems a bit steep, considering I heard about kits selling for as low as $30 or $35.

I still don't think I'll like the big battery, but I know I'll like not having to recharge it or fumble with the PCC in the car. and I'll probably just get over it eventually like I did with the manual battery. Oh yeah, that reminds me. In case anybody would possibly think otherwise, I definitely do NOT want an auto battery. ONLY MANUAL PLEASE.

Also, I'm not too worried about charging time on a 510 charger. I'm planning on only using this in the car, but if it's cheaper to just buy a kit than a battery in the long run, I guess I'll just buy a kit.

Oh, one other thing: About how many puffs would you say you get out of a 510 carto? compared to a cartridge? I didn't seem to get much out of a cartridge, and I just drip now. I have yet to try a carto.

Join the liberty flights lurkers, catch their next Riva 510 sale -- two 750 (I believe) mAh batteries, charger, couple atties, for $30. Should be another batch coming fairly soon.
You can sign up on their site for e-mail, else just watch their forum area here.
Madvapes may also have some really attractive pricing, though I haven't checked them myself.

What gives here, people? For the most part this is a great community. Most people here are extremely helpful, EXCEPT for the fact that whenever a newbie comes around asking for advice, no matter WHAT the newbie says his preference is or what he likes, like 95% of the community shows up like a swarm of friggin' locusts to shove the ego down his throat...

Now I've decided that I wanted an ego-type model, asked for advice on which one to get and where to get it, and I get a total of TWO responses, both of which tell me to go to a site that doesn't have what I want in stock... WHERE OH WHERE are all the people who are normally cramming egos down everybody else's throats now? This makes NO sense...

"OMG, BUY AN EGO, GUYS!! BUY AN EGO! YOU'LL LOVE AN EGO! EGO IS THE WAY TO GO! ONLY WITH AN EGO CAN YOU ENJOY VAPING. OMFG, BUY AN EGO ALREADY!!!!!"

"Okay, well where can I get one?"

Thanks for actually answering at all, mark(and the other guy who answered in the ego type section whose name I can't recall), but I already know about Liberty Flights. Regardless of sale or no sale, they're out of stock. Is there ANY other place that sells Rivas for the same price? Or if not a Riva, any other renamed ego for a similar price? Surely there MUST be more than one place to get this absolutely amazing, incredible, life-saving machine that is so revered around here. I tried searching via google, and the best I could find was $37 something for a Riva kit. I might as well just buy an actual ego then.

Madvapes is out of the question No Ego, Vgo, Riva. Just a "leo," and they want about $50 for ONE battery/atomizer. Screw that.

Your attitude is bound to get you lot's of responses. Pffft.

I think I hear crickets too.

Oddly enough, I'm getting more responses now than I did before I posted that... And I dunno where you've been, but that "attitude" obviously didn't just come out of nowhere. NOTHING I said was or is unfounded, and excuse me all to hell for asking for some consistency. If you're going to suggest someone buy something, it helps to tell them where, especially when they ask. Really? You hear crickets? Last time I checked, me talking(well typing, actually) sounds NOTHING like crickets. Maybe you should get your hearing checked out. That can't be good, man. I'm worried about you...

And thanks to those who actually did respond. I appreciate it greatly.

I really only need a battery and some cartos, but even with the discounts and clearances and whatnot, it seems it's more worth it to just get the kit because then I get two batteries plus two atomizers(even though I have enough to last me a while already), and a charger(which will go a lot faster than the 510 charger) for about the price of just the two batteries. I guess I gotta just wait for liberty flights to get them back in stock. Oh, by the way... What exactly is the purpose of a cone? As far as I understand it, it's just a cone shaped piece of metal or plastic that fits over the atomizer... Does it actually DO anything?
