I've been vaping for almost a year and would like to treat myself to new hardware. Playing with voltage isn't as important to me as durability. Heart is set on the dual coil cartomizers with a 510 connection, so a new toy would have to handle them. What is the next step I should look for? Can I save up enough cash for a bicycle or brace for a Ferrari? What comes after VV?

The Silver Bullet is very sturdy and has taken a lot of abuse from me, and always performs.
It is 510 based, and uses the 18650 batteries.

My only worry is that it is too much like the VV to really be a step up, and has no voltage control.

The altsmoke Omega might be an option if reliability is your primary concern: (from their website)
Switch: Completely Mechanical
Body: Construted from 6061 aircraft aluminum. tapered for comfort and grip. Nickel plated, Silver Vein Coating, Black Coating, or Pink Coating.
Warranty:6 month Warranty from Mechanical failure. (Doesn't include batteries/atomizers)

Just my 2 cents... hope it helps

Good Luck and Happy vaping!

A mod that can run dcc's?

GLV2 5V from greatlakesvapor.com.

The Bolt..sold by many vendors but get the extension also..good pricing from vaporbeast.com..comes with the extension.

Silver Bullet from altsmoke.com

P-18650 from supertmanufacturing.com

Omega from altsmoke.com

As for variable voltage and the dcc's, not a good match. The dcc's are good at higher voltages...basically 5V and 6V. Never tried one at 7.4V. If you're going to stack batteries, please don't skimp to save a buck or 2. Only use AW's. They are the only ones that can standup to what our mods demand. There is a battery thread on safety here...please read it closely.
