So I am loving these 510 gold cartos I just got. Only problem is at 4.8v (recommended voltage) they hit amazing and taste great for about 10 hits. Then they start to taste very metallic. Is this normal? Should I have to top off every 10 Or so hits? I filled it originally with 25 drops and let it sit half an hour as recommended. Any info is appreciated. Thanx.

I use them on a 3.7 batt, and so I have not had that issue. I am pretty consistent with refilling. i am sure some using the higher volts will respond.

Do these require a break in? Tried them even at 3.7 and still after 10 hits or so a very metallic flavor takes over. Happene on 3 different cartos and 3 different flavors. At this rate I might as well be dripping.

Most of Isaac's cartos take 35 drops or so, and are juice hogs. Recommended voltage of 4.8V is the upper end of the scale and they do become juice hogs up there. The majority of the cartos perform best at 3.7-4.2V, they were designed around that sweet spot, with the occasional travel on a seasoned moist carto in the upper reaches and up to 5V.

The type of liquid vaped is an important factor as well. Heavily laden VG liquids simply do not wick as well.

Hmm even at 3.7v-4.2v I'm still topping off a whole lot. I absolutely love these cartos but can't drive anywhere while using them. Ugh why can't there be a perfect balance? Lasting power of boge and flavor of iken? *sigh*

mine are doing the same. I hope the taste goes away

Me too!! I have to keep topping them off all the time otherwise it taste like I'm vaping steel wool. Drove 15 mins away from home and halfway there I couldn't vape anymore cuz of the flavor. Looks like it's back to flavorless boges for driving at least.(

Maybe 2-3 at absolute max. I'd say on average 1-2. I can go at least 3 hours before topping off my boges. These ones from Ken are downright amazing just the capacity seems to be a lot less. I vape high vg juices though cuz my throat can't take higher pg. I bought one of the 510 megas but I don't wanna pay for a drip tip for every carto.

Unless the viscosity of your all VG liquid is diluted properly, it will not wick well with cartos. I am fortunate that I mix my own and have no problems, with any of Isaacs cartos. That being said, I have not vaped the Boges because I never had to look elsewhere for a long time.

I dillute all VG contained in my liquid 4/1 or 20% with distilled water.

as can be seen no problems with VP :)

Yeah the production is awesome and flavor is great. Just too much topping off for me. Anyway these are available for sale or trade. Pm me if interested.
